Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, October 17th, 2016.

Well, it’s not been a great weekend for Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, has it? They managed to put 38 points on the Saints, and still managed to lose by three points. It’s summed up the season so far for Carolina, and they are now 1-5. On the flipside, we have the Cowboys, who are 5-1 and looking pretty damn impressive for the first time in a long while. But I think the biggest story happened in Miami, as the Dolphins brushed aside the Steelers, and left Ben Roethlisberger with a torn meniscus, which will keep him out of next week’s game against New England. Big Ben has had a hard time of it lately, and although the prognosis isn’t too bad, Steelers fans wouldn’t be blamed for fearing the worst. Now, have Dolphins fans come down any since their big win yesterday? Probably not. But, hey, let them have this one, they have been starved for a big win for a while.

In the EPL, Manchester City missed two penalties and had to come from a goal behind to draw 1-1 against Everton. Chelsea banished Leicester City to midtable mediocrity with a 3-0 win in the early kick-off, and Bournemouth proved Hull will no doubt be relegated this season after beating them 6-1. Yes, Bournemouth somehow put six goals past Hull. And if you’ve seen the game or the highlights, you’ll know they could have run up a cricket score. Arsenal held on with ten men to beat Swansea 3-2, and Swansea fans should feel pleased with the performance, as they looked like they were on the up-and-up, and shouldn’t have too many worries with relegation fights. Now, along with Hull, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was only one place being fought over for relegation, after seeing how poor Sunderland were against winless Stoke. If Sunderland and Hull manage to stay up, it will be a miracle based on their recent performances.

Now, tonight we have Monday Night on both sides of the Atlantic, as Manchester United head to Anfield to face Liverpool. That’s followed by the Jets taking on the Cardinals in Arizona. Basically, one exciting game… and the Jets facing the Cardinals.

So, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for October 17th, 2016.

Jets vs Cardinals Betting Tip

The 1-4 New York Jets against the 2-3 Arizona Cardinals isn’t one to make your mouth water, that’s for sure. However, the main thing here is the return of Carson Palmer for the Cardinals, and that’s enough to guarantee them a win. He was out against San Francisco, and the Cardinals won, as you might have expected, so for him to be returning is a huge plus. The huge negative for the Jets is the loss of Eric Decker for the season, so a tough ask tonight has been made even tougher.

The loss of Decker just screams that the Jets are going to struggle going up the field, and with the return of the talismanic Palmer for Arizona, I see a blowout on the cards. Arizona Cardinals -7.5 all night long for me, as I can’t see how the Jets are going to trouble the Cardinals’ D.

Liverpool vs Manchester United Betting Tip

Is this the biggest rivalry in English football? Sure, you have the Liverpool and Manchester derbies, but there is so much passion and genuine hatred amongst the fans, that Liverpool vs Manchester United is always a big affair. Things are no different tonight, and Jose Mourinho started the mind games early. But I think he’s going to need to try anything, as Manchester United have looked pretty poor domestically and in Europe this season, while Liverpool are going great guns in the league. Jurgen Klopp’s vision is starting to come through at Anfield, while Jose still needs to, just like the German has had. If this was next year, things might be different, but Jose still needs time to get things right, while Klopp finally has it right. I’m expecting Liverpool to win and win quite comfortably at that, too. In fact, Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson is also predicting a comfortable 2-0 win for the Reds tonight.

Can Manchester United nick a goal? Possibly, but I can easily see Liverpool opening Manchester United up time and time again, juist like they did to Arsenal in the first game of the season – the big guns hold no fears for Jurgen Klopp’s men this season. Odds-against is real value for Liverpool here, and I’m all over it.
