We continued to kill it in the NFL yesterday, going 2-1 and just missing out thanks in no small part to DeMarco Murray. We stuck with Eli to get us the perfect day, and he played his part, but the Giants defense just couldn’t stop Murray – the wonderkid tag might not be doing him enough justice.
The Colts repaid our faith in them big time. We thought at least a touchdown would separate them and the Bengals, and it was a touchdown plus another 20 more points that got us well over the line. The Cardinals also had a comfortable win for us against the luckless Raiders and we didn’t have to worry abuot that icky .5. So the profits keep on coming in for the NFL tips.
It’s Monday the 20th of October, and that not only means Monday Night Football, but also Monday Night Premiership Soccer. Two institutions in two parts of the world, and we’ve got a view on both of them, plus a look at the NHL tonight.

Texans vs Steelers Betting Tips:
Both teams are sitting on .500 after six games, which isn’t so bad for the Texans, but the Steelers will have been looking for a better start than this. In fact, Ben Roethlisberger and Co will be disappointed with their start to the season. However, tonight they will be looking to get their season back on track and will be more than confident.
We love the Steelers -3 here, and given that stuttering start the Texans have had on the scoreboad, the Steelers should be able to get off to a strong start and keep it to the end of the game. Yes, the Texans have been solid defensively, but they’re not doing it where it matters.
We can’t see where the Texans will win this battle on the field, so the Steelers are the solid pick.
West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester United:
After a slow start, Manchester United head to the Hawthornes in good spirits, sitting fourth in the league and with the team rested off the back of an international weekend. Another win here and United will be putting themselves in the picture for the title. Although, it has to be said, they have been picking off the ‘easier’ teams. The real test will come when they get the other title contenders.
West Brom, it’s going to be another tough season for them, and they’re going to have to be at their best to keep out a free-flowing United attack. Chris Brunt is an injury concern, and without him it looks even worse for West Brom. They are going to struggle to get a result here.
Manchester United are going to win here. They’ve not been winning well, but they’ve been winning. However, they concede goals. In fact, they have conceded a lot of unexpected goals. And we can see them conceding at least one tonight. But we think they’ll win, too, maybe 2-1, or 3-1, so the goals are our play here. Over 2.5 goals is a steal of a price.
Lightning vs Oilers Betting Tips:
This is a real mismatch here. The Lightning are looking hot, starting 3-1-1 and scoring goals for fun. And then you the sad looking Oilers who cannot even buy a win. Although, it has to be said that it’s early days in the season. That being said, the Lightning should have no trouble getting past the Oilers, who will have to wait for their first win of the season.
Steven Stamkos is the player the Oilers will have to worry about, as he’s scored five in as many games.
It won’t be pretty tonight. In fact, it should be like that bigger kid bullying the smaller kid at school. But we have to take the value and the wins where we can get them, and there is only going to be one winner here. That’s the Lightning, of course. They’re 1.83 odds to win in regulation, which is like a gift.
