It’s Saturday, and what a great way to start the day – with Chelsea losing.

Chelsea got thumped 3-1 at home Liverpool and you have to wonder what is going to happen there. The obvious thing is to sack the manager – but you have one of the best managers of this generation in charge. Is it really his fault? Really it’s the players fault and other than Pep, I can’t see anyone who can take charge there and sort this group out.

January is only 2 months away. I’d give Jose the rest of the season, let him change things up in January and see if it changes things. But if they’re going to sack him the only thing I can think of is to get John Terry in as boss. Not that I think he’d be better – but he’s clearly a dressing room leader and I’d expect he is responsible for a lot of these problems. So might as well give him the helm and see what happens.

Right it is Saturday, October 31st. Happy Halloween and all that. Let’s hope for no scares tonight with the betting tips:

Soccer Betting Tips:

Two games in the Barclays Premier League tomorrow with Everton vs Sunderland and Southampton vs Bournemouth.

We’ll go with Southampton -1 at a nice price of 2.40 odds meaning they have to win by at least 2.

Bournemouth are sitting just above the relegation zone with 22 goals conceded in 10 games this season. Southampton are around mid table but have still found the net fairly often. Southampton go into this on the back of a solid win over Aston Villa in the cup and also have had wins recently against Chelsea and Swansea – both by at least 2 goals.

We like Southampton to dominate here and get the win. We actually really like the Over 2.5 goals and will be backing that as well – it’s a nice insurance bet. We can’t really seeing this one being just 1-0, 0-1, 0-0 or 1-1.

So get on both of those and let’s hope for a nice Southampton 3-0 result or close to it.

NHL Betting Tips:

Lot of big games in the NHL tonight.

We’re going to go for a rather risky Bruins to win at 2.50 odds. They’re on the road against Tampa who have matched up against them well and beat them the last few times they’ve faced off. Faced off – get it? But Boston since their weak start to the season have gained a ton of confidence and are playing some great hockey. Tampa have really been struggling and although they have a days rest – we like Bruins to do the business.

In the Battle of Alberta we’ll take Over 5.5 goals in Flames vs Oilers. Flames are a complete disaster at the moment. Edmonton beat them 5-2 on the road. Thing is Flames are usually good for a few goals as well – and Oilers have a very leaky defense. I mean hell they have almost a non-existent defense.

This is one of those games that has goals written all over it and hopefully they comply.
