You know, as much as I love darts, last week was a bit disappointing. Not for thge action, but the crowd just took things a bit too far. I love the atmosphere of a Premier League event, but the treatment of Adrian Lewis just went a bit too far. And the worst part is that it probably affected Gary Anderson more.

So, not a great week last week, putting us back to 8-12 for the competition and -10.25.

888.com are turning their attention to darts and they’re now offering a free £20 bet to new accounts, which is one of the best offers out there. They’re new to sponsoring the PDC action and their sponsorship of the Premier League Darts is a great coup not just for them, but for the PDC. 888.com are a great bookie and I would urge you to head on over there and take advantage of their great promotions.

And if you’re wanting another free bet, head on over to Betfair, where you can get a free bet worth £25 if you sign up over there. Betfair are one of my favourite betting sites and with the ability to back and lay your selections, there’s a lot of ways you can win money at Betfair.

So, with fingers crossed we don’t get the same scenes as last week, let’s get onto the Premier League darts tips for the Brighton leg.

Simon Whitlock versus Mark Webster.

Mark Webster averaged 96.4 last week in his 8-4 defeat to Raymond van Barneveld and he still looks a bit hit-and-miss in the event.

Simon Whitlock averaged 96.35 in defeat to Phil Taylor and missed a lot of doubles.

That being said, Whitlock showed great character in the match, looked good in his scoring and if he could have sorted out his doubling, he might haev pushed Taylor just a bit more.

Whitlock didn’t qualify from his group at the RTL7 event over the weekend, losing both matches.

Looking at both men, you can’t split them on last week’s averages, they’re playing about the same level and this could be the Premier League’s first draw. since I can’t split them, we have to go for the first draw of the Premier League season.

Adrian Lewis versus Terry Jenkins.

94.16 last week for Terry Jenkins in his defeat at the hands of James Wade. Adrian Lewis averaged 88.18, but it’s safe to say that it’s not worth taking a note of that, as he was under fire for most of the match.

Lewis has been averaging around 5 points more than Jenkins this season and will be looking to build on that great win over Gary Anderson last week. Jenkins went for golden to pretty poor in the space of a week and I can’t seem him getting another win against Lewis.

Raymond van Barneveld versus Gary Anderson.

A resurgent Raymond van Barneveld takes on the second placed Gary Anderson in perhaps the biggest game of the night. Barney made the final of the RTL7 event in Holland at the weekend, while Anderson made it to the semis where he was knocked out by Phil Taylor.

Anderson’s average isn’t worth noting due to the crowd exploits last week, but Barney fired in 100.98 and looked solid, although his doubling was a bit of a problem. Due to Anderson’s heavy scoring, missed doubles will be punished.

I think although Barney is in a resurgent form, Anderson will want to put last week behind him and he played some good darts over the weekend. 8-6 wouldn’t surprise me, but it will hopefully be to the Scotsman.

Gary Anderson to beat Raymond van Barneveld 11/10 @ Betfair.

Phil Taylor versus James Wade.

I’m not going to bore you here. Phil Taylor beat James Wade over the weekend, then put in an average of 113.60 to beat Raymond van Barneveld in the final. Phil Taylor should win, he’s in great form as of late and James Wade has been shocking.

Taylor should win and win comfortably, but he’s no great price to do it, so we’ll avoid it and hope he can get a huge average in the process.

Recommend: No bet.

And that’s all from me this week. I hope you enjoy the darts and happy betting!
