A great start to the World Matchplay for the fans, not so much for the Free Betting Tips – Kim Huybrechts broke our hearts, even though he was one leg away from victory, with Terry Jenkins languishing four legs behind. Premium Picks subscribers had a winning night, with the Premium Picks going 2-1.

Aside from the implosion by Huybrechts, there were huge wins for Raymond van Barneveld and Adrian Lewis, with the latter whitewashing UK Open champion Robert Thornton. Andy Smith also won through against Paul Nicholson, in what was the surprise of the night.

Tonight’s action features two former World Champions, as Steve Beaton takes on Kevin Painter, and Richie Burnett takes on James Wade. We also have Michael van Gerwen facing Simon Whitlock, and the action starts with Mark Walsh facing Colin Osborne.
