The 2014 World Matchplay started off with more of a whimper than a bang for the fans last night, with some distinctly average performances from the players, most notably Michael van Gerwen’s sloppy doubling. However, it was a great night for the Premium Picks subscribers. The Premium Picks went 3-1, for a profit of 6 units. The picks were:

– Terry Jenkins to beat Ian White: 2 units @ 11/10
– Highest checkout in Whitlock vs Painter match over 125.5: 4 units @ 9/10
– Michael van Gerwen to score most 180s, have highest checkout and win match: 2 units @ Evens
– Under 5.5 180s in Wade vs Smith match: 2 units @ 6/5

So while the darts weren’t great, the profits were. To get intolved for the price of £10, you can sign up below:

Today we have a double session, a total of 8 matches. Dave Chisnall starts things off against Dean Winstanley, then it’s Richie Burnett and Brendan Dolan. Robert Thornton and Paul Nicholson are the next up, before Andy Hamilton and Wayne Jones finish the afternoon session off. The evening session consists of Justin Pipe taking on Michael Smith, Wes Newton and Ronnie Baxter, then it’s Phil Taylor opening up his tournament against Darren Webster, before the final match of the day, the all-Dutch affair between Raymond van Barneveld and Vincent van der Voort.

As I mentioned earlier,, for the entire tournament I will be running the Premier Picks service, which you can sign up for at any time of the tournament for the low cost of £10. Just click on the link below and follow the process.
