First of all – an absolutely heartbreaking one last week. My 125/1 pick Chez Reavie was floating around at the top of the pack for the entire tournament. However he ended up coming in 6th place – one out of the e/w spot. Brutal.

This week is the PGA Championship. We also have the English Championship however all my focus will be on the PGA Championship.

This is the first Major in 2020 and boy am I pumped for it. Most sportsbooks are doing E/W bonuses with my preferred sportsbook, Bet365, doing Top EIGHT.

If you are outside of the USA, be sure to sign up at Bet365.

Okay so before we go any further let’s have a quick look at the odds for the top 10 :

Let’s get right into the betting tips:

PGA Championship 2020 Betting Tips:

Temperature is going to be interesting as they are going to be going from heat and humidity to cold bloody weather at least compared to what they are used to.

I’ll tell you straight up – I think this tournament is going to be a crapshoot. I’ve got some picks but anyone that has any “confidence” in picks is crazy. This is going to be a very tricky one and I am wagering just a total of half a unit.

Xander is a popular pick by many FWIW. All below picks are E/W of course.

$125 on Adam Scott at 60/1. Putting isn’t a big factor here so that should help Scott out. He can strike the ball and he is a solid majors performer. He’s coming off a long break so he may be rusty however he has had lots of prep for this and I think he could be a factor here.

$125 on Chez Reavie at 100/1. Honestly after his scintillating performance last week there’s a good chance that he drops the ball this week. You see that often with golfers like him. However he came so close last week and has a solid PGA Championship history and can generally handle the Majors well.

$125 on Cameron Champ at 150/1. If driving is going to be a big factor here then that suits Champ well. Not too far from his home either. He’s been a bit rough post break and he can’t get the consistency going but that’s standard for most of the young guys. He’ll be used to the conditions here.

$125 on Bryson DeChambeau at 16/1. So many people are writing Bryson off this week and I was ready to as well. Struggling a little bit but it happens after a win. With driving power being a factor he may gain confidence as he goes and is worth the bet.

$62.50 on Bubba Watson at 100/1. A last minute pick. Bubba has the ability to do really well here. He performs well in California and his power will be a big deal. Post break though he has struggled a fair bit. This is one I went back and forth on but decided the price is worth it.
