It’s Wednesday, January 10th 2018.

I’m going to cover the upcoming UFC card in this post as well as this weeks golf.

The PGA and European Tour have returned and this week I’ve got betting tips for the Sony Open.

Feels great to have the golf back.

Let’s start with that.

Sony Open Betting Picks:

This is one of those courses where the form from the previous week can be a factor so it’s worth looking at that.

With that said I’m going to back Jordan Spieth to win the Sony Open. He did fairly well last week and it’s a weakened field this week so he’s right at the top. Honestly with his ability he should be able to wrap this one up even if he plays average.

I’m also taking Si Woo Kim to win & E/W. Si Woo Kim had a solid performance here a couple of years ago. He came in the top 5 and I think he can do that again. I’m backing Kim and Spieth both for 1/2 unit.

I also have two smaller bets – a quarter unit each – on Brian Harman and Marc Leishman. Harman is coming in at the top of his game and while he hasn’t kille dit on this course or anything he’s still solid. Leishman has performed well here and is coming in off a solid performance so I’m happy to back him.

That’s the Sony Open Betting Picks I’ve got for this week.

UFC Fight Night 124 Betting Tips:

UFC Fight Night 124 is headlined by Jeremy Stephens vs Doo Ho Choi. It’s also got Vitor Belfort and Paige VanZant in action.

My first bet is Michael Johnson -160. Elkins is a solid fighter riding a 5 win streak however I think it ends here. Johnson is coming in off 2 losses but he has fight a lot of people in the elite level and he’s really shown he can hang with them. He had that amazing brawl with Gaethje which won Fight of the Year awards no surprise and I think he’s going to come in here big. There’s a reason there is so much juice on him.

At the price of +275, Vitor Belfort is worth a small bet. Hall is able to get knocked out and I feel he is a very unreliable fighter. Belfort could catch him it wouldn’t surprise me.

I’m also taking Jeremy Stepens +140. Stephens is an excellent fighter and his losses are always to the top guys like Holloway and Edgar. Maybe he’ll be concerned that he cant beat that top tier however he should be able to beat Choi. If Choi can’t KO ya he’s in trouble and I don’t think Stephens gets that. I’d probably go for Stephens by decision.
