Premier League Darts 2014 – Week 14

Two weeks left in the 2014 Premier League Darts regular season, and there’s still two spots left to play for, with Phil Taylor having almost secured the third play-off spot, with Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld having already secured their spots. This is the first week with only four matches on the card, and it’s a great line-up at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle, which, as an aside, if my favourite city in the Premier League Darts season. Tonight, Gary Anderson will face Dave Chisnall with the Scotsman needing a positive result to keep his play-off hopes alive. Adrian Lewis plays Robert Thornton in a battle of the play-off also-rans. Peter Wright has the unenviable job of facing Phil Taylor while needing a win to keep his play-off hopes well and truly alive – Taylor needs a win to secure his play-off spot. The other match of the evening is the battle between first and second – MvG vs RvB.
