It’s Judgement Night in the 2014 Premier League Darts season. With Simon Whitlock’s fate already sealed, it comes down to Robert Thornton, Wes Newton and Dave Chisnall to fill the final ‘relegation’ spot. The Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff is the venue for the last night of Premier League action before we lose two players, and it’s shaping up to be a huge night. Gary Anderson and Peter Wright kick off the evening’s proceedings, followed by Michael van Gerwen and Simon Whitlock. Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld are up next, and then we get to the night’s most important matches. Wes Newton faces Dave Chisnall – if either man wins, they are safe, Chisnall is safe with a draw, Newton needs the remaining match to go his way should he draw. Robert Thornton is in the last match of the evening and he takes on Phil Taylor, knowing what he needs to do to stay safe – all we know for sure is that a minimum of 1 point will keep him safe. So it’s looking to be a huge night in Wales.
