Well the Masters was what it was. I can’t think of a more deserving champion than Scottie. I had looked at him but just felt his odds were way too short.

Just wish it had been a more exciting finish.

From a betting perspective, we had both Cameron Smith and Justin Thomas make it in the Top 8 for the E/W cashes, with Smith threatening to win early on in the 4th round. Thomas just never really got into a roll it felt although his quality was evident with his final placing.

Unfortunately, Thomas was tied so due to dead heat rules it ends up being a loss of $77.50 for the tournament.

That brings my 2022 golf record to 15-49 for a profit of $2,318.24.

Let’s look at the RBC Heritage. I correctly picked Webb Simpson as winner here in 2020 for a nice $4375 return. I’ve had quite a few nice returns here voer the years including $2875 on Luke Donald in 2016.

RBC Heritage Betting Tips

Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My normal betting amounts for the PGA are $125, $250 & $500, although I will go as low as $62.50 and as high as $1,000 on occasion. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 667.93 unit profit from 2014-2020. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5)

This is a very, very tough one when you look at the top guys. I can see Smith, Thomas, DJ or Morikawa easily taking it. JT to me is probably the best out of those four but man 14/1 is a bit short for E/W and I have some concerns about him following the Masters.

$125 on Shane Lowry E/W at 22/1

Some solid performances here, is in exceptional form at the moment, and I think he can roll last weeks excellent performance into a good one here.

$50 on Joaquinn Niemann Top 20 Finish 7/4

One finish here in the past which was 5th place. Since his win at the Genesis Invitational, he has been okay. He generally performed well at the Masters which was made even tougher due to his pairing with one Tiger Woods. This could be a good tournament for him and it’s tempting to bet higher, or do a more risky bet. It’s just fairly stacked at the top which has me concerned.

$25 on Luke Donald E/W at 225/1, $25 Top 20

I feel obligated to bet something on Luke due to his performances here and the money he has made me in the past. Coming in on decent enough form and he actually shows up on my data as someone who could flirt with the Top 20.

Honestly more of a personalized pick due to wins he has earned for me in this course but I feel obligated to back him here.
