Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, September 26th, 2016.

So, I started last week by slating Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba, and what happened this week? They only thumped Leicester City 4-1 and Pogba played a big part. Does it mean the end for Wayne Rooney in a red shirt? Probably not, to be honest, but it was a classy performance, finally, from United. But the Manchester City train kept on rolling over the weekend, and Arsenal and Liverpool kept tabs on them. Arsenal were fantastic against Chelsea, who are struggling almost as much as they did last season. So, maybe it wasn’t Mourinho’s fault last season, and the squad is just weaker than we all thought.

In NFL, the seasons hottest ticket, Carson Wentz kept on winning, and the Patriots third string quarterback did the same. It’s already been a weird season. But seriously, where outside of Philly were the Eagles on anyone’s radar for being a breakout team of the season? A rookie QB with a team that looked a bit depleted on paper, and suddenly they’re playing great defence, combined with some unbelievably offence, which few people would have expected.

Let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for September 26th, 2016.

Falcons vs Saints Betting Tip

After the Carson Wentz show last week, we get the 1-1 Falcons travelling to the 0-2 Saints for Monday Night Football. It’s safe to say that Drew Brees is struggling to find any kind of consistency, and the fact the Saints have lost to the Raiders and the Giants, not exactly the best teams in the competition, means they need to find a way to get a win and soon. Matt Ryan, for the Falcons, on the other hand, has been firing on all cylinders, and seems to be able to score for fun at times.

I can’t split them here, really. The Falcons struggle against a running game, but the Saints’ running game has struggled. Brees and Ryan are both capable of great feats, and I can’t pick between them. Instead, I can see an open game, and with both quarterbacks able to take charge of the game, I see a lot of points going on the board. Over 53.5 points is the play for tonight’s Monday Night Football game.

Burnley vs Watford Betting Tip

Monday Night Football in England is a slightly less glamorous affair, as Burnley host Watford. Watford are sitting mid-table after a huge 3-1 win over Manchester United, while Burnley are hovering just above the relegation zone, with their sole win coming over Liverpool. The big talking point here is just how poor Burnley are in front of goal – they have three goals all season, and are the second worst in the league when it comes to shots on goal. Watford, on the other hand, are playing an old-school style of football, and they love to get the ball into the box and feed their strikers.

However, what’s interesting is that Watford don’t keep many clean sheets, and Burnley are tight at the back. This is obviously going to make things close, and I think Burnley to draw with Watford is the selection. This could easily be a dour 1-1 draw, even 0-0 if Watford weren’t so open at the back. If you want to go for a correct score prediction, I’m fancying the 1-1 draw, while the legendary tipster that is Lawro has predicted a 2-1 for Burnley.
