We had a good outing last time out with the Champions Tour. We tipped Michael Allen in the San Antonio Championship, and he duly delivered with a Top 5 finish. Here is the betting slip for that one:

We’ll be hoping for another good showing or better this week with the Toshiba Classic.

This tournament has been part of the tour since 1995 when it began as the Toshiba Senior Classic. It was changed to just the Toshiba Classic in 2006.

Last years winner was Fred Couples who won it for the 2nd time. He won it previously back in 2010.

Let’s see the odds and if Bernhard Langer can follow up his first win with another one…

Toshiba Classic 2015 Betting Odds:

  1. Bernhard Langer: 4/1
  2. Colin Montgomerie: 15/2
  3. Kenny Perry: 8/1
  4. Vijay Singh: 9/1
  5. Fred Couples: 11/1
  6. Scott Dunlap: 16/1
  7. Tom Lehman: 20/1
  8. Michael Allen: 22/1
  9. Jeff Maggert: 22/1
  10. Paul Goydos: 28/1

Toshiba Classic 2015 Betting Tip #1: Fred Couples

Couples has been on solid form this tour in the few tournaments he has played. He’s played just 9 tournaments and while nothing mindblowing he has had 6 Top 10 finishes which is very impressive. Recently he came 3rd at the Boeing Classic and 6th at the Nature Valley Open.

His course form speaks for itself. Winner last year and 2nd the year before that. He also was 8th in 2012 and 5th in 2011.

We’ll be honest – we’re not fully convinced on Couples to win this one. We’d love to back him but it’s a tough field and we know how hard it can be to repeat. So instead we’re going to be betting just Fred Couples Top 5 Finish. We’ll back that for a unit and we’ll take the 11/5 odds on that one.

Bet: Fred Couples Top 5 finish. 11/5 odds for this are available at .

Toshiba Classic 2015 Betting Tip #2: Steve Pate

One of my favourite things to spread on toast!

Pate has played solid here in the past. Last year 2nd place, and the year before 20th and the year before that 8th. He’s had a rough season with zero top 10 finishes. But when we look at his record we do see a history of bad form but then solid course form. It looks like he has been overlooked at a whopping 150/1 to win.

We’re not expecting much but based on his course form we feel Steve Pate is a nice long shot bet at 150/1 odds. Of course this is one where we will be betting it to win and E/W.

Bet: Spread it on your toast and then bet Pate to win and E/W. 150/1 price is sick at .

Toshiba Classic Betting Tip #3: Michael Allen

5th place last year – so hey why not take some of our winnings from Allen last tournament and dump it on him here? He’s heating up and has did well on this course.

Bet: Michael Allen to win and E/W. We’ll do a half unit at .
