Hi guys,

Huge day on our Patreon yesterday. Vin went 6-1 in MLB while I went 1-0 in WNBA. Very nice, following on from a winning weekend at the F1 Canadian Grand Prix for me. Sign up now don’t pay until July 1 – get Vins 7 MLB Plays for today.

Well the US Open ended up being a blast from a viewing perspective. Holy crap was Sunday a very, very tight one.

We had Zalatoris for that one and unfortunately, he just couldn’t pull through. Heartbreaking loss for him. He got us the E/W cash and that resulted in a loss of $40 for the week.

Matt Fitzpatrick won that one. I was impressed and looking back, I think that is one that I should have been on. I was watching the final day with one of my friends and he was on Fitzpatrick. He was surprised I wasn’t on him. I just really wanted to limit the betting to 2u, and Lowry unfortunately checked more boxes for me.

This week we’ve got the Travelers Championship. All odds from Bet365 for ease. 4 tips, 2 for free 2 on Patreo.

Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 628.30 unit profit from 2014-2021. Betting size varies greatly based on confidence. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5)

$50 on Scottie Scheffler To Win @ 10/1.

He hasn’t fared well on this course before but he does appear to be a whole different golfer these days. He’s on fire and his game suits this course well. Although in saying that his game probably suits every course out there.

I’d probably have taken JT over him if he hadn’t withdrawn though. Wasn’t sold on the way he was hitting the ball at the US Open. Thinking back to the Canadian Open – I’m going to lower how much I bet on him.

$50 on Brendan Steele To Win & E/W @ 66/1.

These are always tricky bets to make. He has performed well here in the past and is coming in fresh, and on fine form. I don’t really know if he has what it takes to win.

But if I bet a safer bet of say $125 on Top 20, then that’s a $325 profit. And I mean that’s decent. But if he ends up winning? Off $50 that’s a $2062.50 profit. Top 5 is $387.50 profit.

I just kind of wanted to explain – basically when it comes to golf and these longshots, I go with the risk/reward thought process. I mean sure $325 profit is nothing to sneeze at. But imagine betting Top 20, and he wins? You’d be sick.

Anyway I’m happy to take more losses while going for the bigger payouts. Worked out for me in the past. You could always do some sort of covering bet so that you bet top 20, then the profits of that you bet on E/W and that way you’re kind of freerolling if he gets into the top 20.

I was close to Mito Pereira this week, but it’s just hard to back him when putting is key.
