Well, round three didn’t go as planned, as after a strong start we had a couple of losses, but that happens.

Let’s try and make up for it in round four with two picks.

Roland Scholten to beat Wes Newton – 11/10 @ Blue Square.

Scholten has looked back to his best form and has finaled here in the past. Been looking confident over the past two days, dropping only 1 leg in his first two matches. Wes Newton is a total enigma, sometimes playing out his skin, other times playing awful, awful darts. If Scholten can play up to his best, it could end up being a one-sided affair.

Recommendation – 1 unit.

Peter Manley to beat Mark Webster – 5/6 @ Blue Square.

Manley beat the form player, James Wade, to get into the fourth round. The form line looks good and to have him as joint favourite with Mark Webster might not be doing “One Dart” justice. Manley has been out of form, but he’s a player that plays well with confidence and he’s been around the PDC long enough to know it could be his chance at a good run, not that Wade and King are both out of contention. Webster didn’t put out too convincing a result, but the win is all that matters, however I’d put him in at a slightly bigger price, knowing what Manley is capable of and with a question mark still hanging over Webster’s form.

Recommendation – 1 unit.
