Man am I excited – we’re less than a week away from the U.S. Open.

Update: US Open 2017 Betting Tips now up.

I mean from a betting perspective it’s not a big deal – you’ll usually find better value in the smaller tournaments. This is one where the bookies are really on their toes. In saying that I’ve correctly predicted the last two US Open Winners.

However purely from a viewing perspective it’s just a fantastic experience.

The big question of course is if Dustin Johnson can repeat. He’s been in some incredible form over the past couple of years with some great Majors performances.

A lot of people didn’t believe he could do it last year but oh I know one person who did – me!

Here’s the betting slip from last year:

And how about the year before? That was Speiths year and here’s the betting slip from that:

I’m hoping to make it three in a row. FYI in 2014 I wasn’t providing the betting tips at that time.

Not sure I can do it again but I’ll be trying to. My free US Open 2017 Betting Tips will be up on the 13th of June. You can subscribe and get an e-mail when they’re up for free by putting your e-mail address below:

In the meantime I thought we’d have a look at the odds.

US Open 2017 Betting Odds:

  1. Dustin Johnson: 13/2
  2. Jordan Spieth: 9/1
  3. Rory McIlroy: 10/1
  4. Jason Day: 12/1
  5. Justin Rose: 16/1
  6. Hideki Matsuyana: 18/1
  7. Sergio Garcia: 20/1
  8. Jon Rahm: 20/1
  9. Rickie Fowler: 20/1
  10. Henrik Stenson: 25/1

That’s the US Open 2017 Betting odds for the Top 10 golfers. Of course no Phil Mickelson this year as he is attending his daughters graduation.

Where To Bet the US Open:

Your best bet is to sign up at sportsbooks that offer E/W betting and go with that.

US Open 2017 Betting Tips:

As I said above my betting tips will be up on Tuesday, June 13th for the US Open.

In the meantime I wanted to write a few notes for those looking to bet. This years event will be taking place at Erin Hills.

I haven’t bet anyone yet so these are NOT tips. Just a couple of notes I’ve been making recently:

Rickie Fowler: he had a bad run at the Majors recently but that 11th place at the Masters was solid. I’d almost consider him a dark horse however the 20/1 odds don’t make me too happy. I’d prefer 30/1 if I was going to consider him.

Brooks Koepka: I like Koepka due to his majors history, the betting odds on him, and the fact that he’s in good form. I’m watching him closely at the St Jude Classic and I’m hoping for a big finish for him here. he came out of the Masters strong but has faltered a little bit since then. If he has a good performance this weekend I’ll be betting him.

I’m not 100% sure yet but I feel good about NOT betting Spieth, Johnson and Rory. That may change as I analyze more but looking at things none of them have been convincing me.

Anyway that’s my thoughts so far. Back Tuesday to try and get 3 winners in a row. Be sure to subscribe!
