Lawro Audit: FA Cup & BPL Week 26

What is the story of the week this week? Is it that Leicester are now around 5/4 to win the league? The bloke that backed Leicester City at 5,000-1 to win the English Premiership at the start of the season for a £50 stake and has cashed out for £72,000? Well, what was better is that if he held off until Leicester played Watford, he could have cashed out for £91,000. Or how about Chelsea being knocked out of the Champions League by PSG? Or Liverpool brushing aside Manchester United in the Europa League? You know, there’s a lot going on in English football at the moment, and it’s all quite interesting for a change instead of the usual horrible headlines associated with the sport. No doubt that will all change soon enough.

Lawro continued his amazing run of not getting any correct scores last week. Yes, I know, Mark Lawrenson failing to predict a correct score isn’t news now, is it? Well, no. And as we edge closer and closer to the end of the season, the faith is starting to fade from the prediction legend, but we have committed this long, we have to keep it going, don’t we? Now, he might not have got any correct scores, but he still somehow managed to get four correct results. Big deal, eh? That means Lawro came up with a loss of -11 units. The season’s loss is getting closer to triple figures now, and we’re sitting at an abysmal -71.46 units. It couldn’t be much worse, and we’ve had some shocking results recently. Still, we’re back with a mixed bag of FA Cup action, and also English Premiership action for Lawro to get his teeth into, so hopefully that will change the fortunes of the legend.

And, as you know by now, here is the weekly plug for the guys at Bet365, who are doing still doing their Bore Draw promotion this week. If you don’t know how it works by now then read up. So a bit of a fun week this week, with a mix of fixtures to keep us entertained. No real shocks, yet again, in Lawro’s predictions this week. I mean once upon a time, you would say a prediction of 1-1 between Manchester United and West Ham would be a shock, but not this season. In fact, after tonight’s performance from the Red Devils, predicting a West Ham win would perhaps been the sensible option. So enjoy the Premiership fixtures, and enjoy the FA Cup, and hopefully we get a surprise or two to make things interesting.
