It’s Friday. Gotta love the weekend.

It’s funny but as I have no bets in the Valspar Championship this week – man, I just don’t care. I put it on yesterday and I watched it for a few minutes and then just zoned out and focused on the soccer instead. Funny how integral betting can be to sports watching. But then I’ll go to a restaurant with my family, see a random sports event on – be it a baseball game or a tennis game, load up my Bet365 account on the phone and place any sort of random live bet.

I am completely focused on the True Thailand Classic however with Scott Hend currently tied for first at the end of 2 rounds. He had an incredible 2nd round. Joost Luiten is still hanging in there as well and Prayad Marksaeng could have a hot day hopefully.

NHL Picks for March 11th, 2016:

Penguins vs Jackets: Jackets are coming into this one off a 5-3 win over the Red Wings. I’d like to say their home form has been solid – and relly it has with wins and a lot of games going to overtime – but right amidst all that is that 0-4 loss to the Sabres. Penguins are inconsistent and can’t seem to get a run going. However you have to go back to December to when the Penguins last lost two on the trot in regulation, and I’m going to take Penguins to win here.

Flyers vs Lightning: Will the Lightning be out for revenge here? The Flyers were the one that caused their run to end and now Philly have to come here. Philly haven’t played a game since then while Tampa lost to Boston and couldn’t score. I’d be going with Over 5 goals in this one. I’d stay away from the revenge storyline.

Ducks vs Blues: The Ducks are starting to stutter as they go against a Blues team who have started to get things rolling again. It’s quite an interesting game. The Blues penalty kill is a huge factor for them and we saw that against the Blackhawks. Blues are still without Alexander Steen. However I like to kick a dog when it’s down, and after being shut out against the Avs I think the Ducks have a bit more to go. Blues to win.

Blackhawks vs Stars: This should be a good game. Although despite two top quality teams they rarely have tight matches. There’s been a lot of blowouts over the years by both teams. Hossa might be back for the Hawks. However I’d advise staying away from this one. You have a few players slumping who could go off, but two teams who I’d expect to be very conservative. No play on this one.

Flames vs Coyotes: The Flames are continuing to be a feisty team at home. They’re going against the Arizona Coyotes who are a seriously hurting team at the moment but they can get the self-belief here by going against the Flames who they have beaten 3 times already this season. This is another one I’d recommend staying away from.
