August is a big month in the world of sports. Not only do we have the end of the Olympics and many gold medals to be handed out, but the rest of the sports world is plenty busy as well.

Baseball is really starting to heat up with some big match-ups this month. The AL East and NL East are as tight as ever while the Dodgers, Giants, and Padres fight it out in the NL West. Both Wild Cards are wide open so the final few months should be exciting. If you like baseball, we also have the Little League World Series this month as well.

There are plenty of sports returning to action this month as well. The WNBA is back in action this month after a short Olympic break and we’re getting the first few games of the college football season. Plus, the return of the Premier League to the weekend is always welcome to see. Major League Soccer is getting into the season as well.

In the world of combat sports, we have Manny Pacquiao vs. Errol Spence Jr., Derrick Lewis vs. Ciryl Gane at UFC 265, and WWE SummerSlam.
