Welcome to the September 2020 Sports Calendar. If you thought the August sports calendar was big, get ready because this month is even more jam packed with sports.

It’s going to be a great month for playoff action as the NBA Finals and NHL Stanley Cup Finals will both begin this month. We’ll also see the MLB Playoffs begin this month. The league expanded the playoffs this year from the usual 10 teams to 16. Each division winner plus the second place team in each division and two wild cards will square off in that first week. NASCAR will also begin their playoffs this month.

Re-scheduled dates are also a huge part of this calendar with the Kentucky Derby, PGA U.S. Open, and French Open now taking place in September. It’s also a big month for soccer with the UEFA Nations League and Premier League both starting up this month. Wrestling is also set for a great month with New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax beginnin as well as AEW All Out, one of their marquee events.

Of course, the big news for many this month will be the return of the NFL. They are still working out some kinks on what exactly the 2020 NFL season will look like, but it is scheduled to kick off on September 10th with the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
