A 1-1-1 record last night.

The Pirates did their job in the Cubs/Pirates over, but the Cubs offense just didn’t show up. Yu Darvish continued his struggles here as he allowed four runs in 5.1 innings. Thankfully, the Cubs added one run late to make this one a 5-2 game and make this one a push.

In the Diamondbacks/Rangers game, Lance Lynn and Robbie Ray really proved me wrong as they had this game at 1-1 after the sixth inning. I had the over of 8 runs here and the bullpens nearly did it for us as this one finished 5-2 as well. I look at the sixth inning when this one went wrong when the Rangers loaded the bases with nobody out. Joey Gallo struck out and then Asdrubal Cabrera grounded into a double play to end the threat.

We did get the win with, who else, the Mariners. This one was rather terrifying as the Mariners kept getting a lead and then giving it up. Mitch Haniger hit a homerun to take the lead in the ninth. Then Roenis Elias got the save, but not before loading the bases. Terrifying.

Just one tip today and I’m going to make it quick.

Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants Betting Tips:

Jeff Samardzija is a pitcher that I still don’t quite believe in. He had the awful year last year and his strikeout numbers leave a lot to be desired. He can be hit and I think the Rockies will do exactly that today.

The Rockies send Jon Gray to the mound and I am a Jon Gray truther. He’s had a bit of his bad luck from last year carry over in to his first starts this year, but he has remained a strikeout machine. The Giants offense is not threatening at all to me and I think Gray will have his best start of the season here.
