It’s August 14th, 2015 and welcome to todays tips.

My brain is a bit mush today for some reason as I just started to write “It’s February 14th”. Not sure what I am smoking!

Be sure to check out The Lawro Audit for a fun little thing we are doing each week, where we follow Mark Lawrensons predictions, as well as bet on them and analyze them ourselves.

We’re also celebrating the return of the Barclays Premier League season by creating a new betting system and blogging about it. More details on that after the Week 2 matches are up – so Tuesday.

Checking in on the golf – our 100/1 pick David Lingmerth was 2nd yesterday which was great to see. He’s only shooting par today as I write this but hopefully he picks up. McIlroy looked decent yesterday as he shook off the rust and hopefully we’ll see a more solid performance from him today.

Let’s get to the betting tips for August 14th, 2015:

Barclays Premier League Betting Tips:

One game today, which is Man Utd vs Aston Villa.

We weren’t very impressed with Man Utd last week. 1 shot on target and their goal was an own goal. With De Gea out, Romero was lucky in that he had practically nothing to do all afternoon. He looked very shaky when he had the ball at his feet.

We’re going to recommend Aston Villa or Draw. The odds on this one are 23/20. Last time Villa hosted them, they drew 1-1. Granted, Benteke scored but that was an impressive match as Villa were down to 10 men, AND Utd were on a nice winning run.

The Man Utd defense is still an experiment and Villa can exploit that.

Bet: Villa or Draw. Bet that at https://www.Bovada.lv.

WNBA Betting Tips:

We will take the Atlanta Dream +8 tonight.

The Lynx are in the playoffs and going for home court. They’re playing well – but not fully blowing teams away. They did beat the Dream by 16 points a couple weeks ago but that was while they were battling to get that playoff spot. We usually see teams slow down a bit now they have that. Home court is importnat of course, but the Dream will be the more motivated team going into this.

Dream are coming off a massive win over the Shock and they looked so good then. Everything clicked on offense and while their defense was poor, they still scored almost at will and that was a really good sign.

We’re going to bank on them carrying their momentum into this game.

Bet: Take Dream +8 at 5Dimes Sportsbook.

CFL Betting Tips:

Tonight, the Toronto Argonauts take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. We like the Argonauts to win and with it being less than a touchdown we gotta take it.

The Toronto Argonauts are -6.5 and it’s really hard not to like them here. The Blue Bombers are seriously struggling as seen in last weeks loss against Hamilton, and Drew Willy being out is huge. We just can’t see the Blue Bombers doing anything – and the Argonauts will pound on them here.
