Wow – finally the F1 season is upon us, with the F1 Australian Grand Prix in just a few days, and with it of course comes your F1 Australian Grand Prix Betting Tips.

Now this is the first time I’m doing this so you’re going to be a new reader. Let me quickly explain how it works. I’ve been betting for years professionally, and it is my primary income. I’ve teamed up with my friend Andrew who is an F1 nut. Together, we use a computer system and our own personal opinion to come up with the best possible bets for the F1.

This is the first time we’re publishing our F1 Betting Tips. In the beginning we’re going to be focusing PURELY on the Grand Prix Winners. As time goes on – we will be looking to expand and cover many of the other betting options available. But it’s a marathon, not a race…and we want to start slowly.

Initially, we will be posting three tips. Our “Sure Thing” – basically one of the heavy favourites who we like the most. Then our Value Bet – one where we feel that racer is undervalued, and has a great chance at his price. You might want to consider E/W betting for that one. Finally our underdog bet – the guy who most likely won’t be winning, but we think has a great enough price it’s worth a small bet on – especially for betting E/W or even Top 6.

Right, let’s get to the F1 Betting Tips for the Australian Grand Prix 2014:

Favourite To win: Nico Rosberg

A nice price on Nico Rosberg at 7/2 and we like him to be the winner of the 2014 Australian Grand Prix. I mean come on – Mercedes have been the team to beat in the Winter testing. They’ve been clocking up the most miles and are consistently at the top of the timesheets. Hey, even Sebastian Vettel likes Mercedes to be the winners of this one.

Australia will be a race of attrition, and with that we have to go with Roseberg. Yeah okay he might not have the pace of Lewis Hamilton, but he’s more likely to bring the car home. In our simulations Rosberg has been the winner the most, and 7/2, the 2nd favourite, actually gives him good odds.

Value Bet: Felipe Massa

A nice price of 10/1 on Filipe Massa sees him as our value bet based on our simulations for the Australian Grand Prix. At the very least, get on him for a podium finish at 9/4 odds.

Williams have been amazing in the winter testing – they were the second fastest team, and that was due to the Mercedes engine really. I mean this car has been virtually bulletproof too, and the other teams have been hampered by reliability concerns.

Over the course of the season, you’ll see their odds go down so this is exactly when you want to get on them – and go with Massa to do the business. You can play it safer by going with Williams to win at 11/2 but I like going with just Massa.

The last time he was a #1 driver he was just a few hundred yards away from winning the World Championship. He’s got something to prove after playing second fiddle to Alonso, and I think we will see it on Sunday.

Underdog Bet: Kevin Magnussen

This is one you might want to look at for E/W or a Top 6. McLarens a solid car, has the Mercedes engine in the back and Kevin is a hot rookie who showed he can do the business – like last year, when he won the Formula Renault 3.5 with a race to spare.

To win outright at https://www.Bovada.lv he is 16/1 which is a very nice price.

Laying Bet: Vettel

If you are into betting exchanges such as https://www.Bovada.lv and you are looking for something to lay – Vettel is the man. He is around 11/1 and that’s just a dumb, dumb price. Hulkenberg and Perez have more chance of winning. Lay the absolute hell out of Vettel – trust us on that one.
