Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, December 12th, 2016.

Not long left in the NFL season before the playoffs start, and we’re seeing the playoff picture really take shape, but the Cowboys put a small spanner in the works by being terrible against the Giants, a side that have been giving up points for fun. Seriously, they needed to stuff more than one score past the Giants to convince me they’re genuine contenders. The Dolphins continue to be the gift that keeps on giving for fans in the south-east, while in the north, we have the Lions continually giving their fans heart attacks but also their most fun season for the longest time. And then the Bengals are still the Bengals.

In the English Premiership, it already looks like a two-horse race, as both Chelsea and Arsenal won on Saturday, although they were both tested by West Brom and Stoke respectively, but we saw Manchester City slump again, this time to the struggling champions, Leicester City, Liverpool dropped points by drawing with West Ham and Spurs couldn’t be Manchester United. So, unless the wheels fall off both London teams, it looks like the Premiership trophy will be heading back to the capital after its 12 months in Leicester. But maybe Pep can put out the same starting 11 for a few weeks at a time and get back to winning ways – if he can, the season might not be over for Manchester City.

Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for December 12th, 2016.

Ravens vs Patriots Betting Tip

There’s a bit of hype surrounding this game purely because of Joe Flacco’s record against the Patriots, with the media reporting that his numbers stack up better than Tom Brady’s in the head-to-head meetings. Of course, the Ravens are still 3-5 against the Brady-led Patriots, but the numbers, just look at the numbers! No, don’t. The Patriots have a winning record against the Flacco-led Ravens and that shouldn’t change tonight. The one interesting thing looking at the Patriots’ 10-2 record is that both defeats came at home. That is going to inspire the Ravens, who are red hot right now, having won their last two and stopping the resurgent Dolphins.

Amazingly, both sides are giving up 17.3 points per game, while the Ravens are putting up 21.3 and the Patriots are 26.6. Their yardage isn’t much different either, with the Ravens going for 362.3 this season and the Patriots 397.8. I think it’s fair to say that they are closely matched on paper, but the Brady factor is going to make the difference, given that the stats are a tad skewed with Brady’s absence at the start of the season. But with it being so close, and with the Pats losing twice at home, the Ravens have a hope of at least keeping it close, so Baltimore Ravens +6.5 is our play in tonight’s Monday Night Football.

NHL Betting Tip

Penguins -1.5 is as close to a banker as I would go with NHL betting. The Penguins are seriously hot right now, they’ve won their last five and have a home record of 11-2-1, which is unbelievable, really. The Coyotes are treading water, having won 3 of their last 10, and things are going to be even harder without Max Domi, who is out with an injured hand. Even with Domi, I’d like the Penguins to see this out comfortably, so this injury just makes things that little bit easier for us.
