With the US Open done and dusted, and us celebrating our excellent winning tip of Jordan Spieth, it’s time for the European Tour to get back on track.

This week, it’s the BMW International Open which takes place at the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried. Quick note if you’re looking for historical data: this actually was at a different course in 2012 and 2014. It was the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried.

A lot of eyes will be on the swede, Henrik Stenson. Since his 2006 victory he has came dangerously close to repeating that with 5 top 10 results in his last 6 tournaments. Last year he came so close with 2nd places.

This tournament is great because we see a lot of birdies, and also a lot of playoffs. Since 2006 we have had 9 tournaments including the Stenson win, of which 5 of them have went to playoffs. Every other one in that time except 1 was down to 1 strokes.

We’re looking for a nice tight tournament. Let’s get to the odds and tips:

BWM International Open 2015 Betting Odds:

  1. Henrik Stenson: 7/1
  2. Martin Kaymer: 12/1
  3. Shane Lowry: 16/1
  4. Chris Wood: 18/1
  5. Bernd Wiesberger: 18/1
  6. Joost Luiten: 18/1
  7. Rafael Cabrera Bello: 20/1
  8. Tommy Fleetwood: 25/1
  9. Maximilian Kieffer: 28/1
  10. Soren Kjeldsen: 30/1

A solid field for this one. Let’s get to the betting tips:

BMW Open Betting Tip #1: Thomas Bjorn

He’s a high price at 35/1 but Bjorn is worth a quarter unit bet.

His form has been solid although getting worse. After a tied for 4th finish a few months back he had a couple of missed cuts and an 11th place and 21st place.

He won this tournament back in 2002, and came in 2nd in 2013. He also came 8th in 2012 and 2014 when it was at a different course.

Not a strong horse by any means, but we do think Bjorn is worth a quarter unit bet.

Bet: Thomas Bjorn 35/1 at – bet to win and E/W.

BMW Open Betting Tip #2: Soren Kjeldsen

Soren actually has an o with a line through his name in the “Soren” part – but I’ve no bloody idea how to do that on my keyboard!

Fresh off his Irish Open win, we’re going to go with Kjeldsen to keep that form up.

He came 2nd in the tournament immediately following the Irish Open, and his results preceding that were solid. It’s been a couple of weeks since he played but the rest might be good for him and we’re hoping he isn’t rusty.

He’s struggled at this tournament in recent years but he does have two top 10 finishes, with a 4th place finish in 2005.

We’ll be backing him with half a unit.

Bet: Half unit bet on Kjeldsen to win and E/W at .

That’s all the betting tips we have for the BMW International Open. Henrik Stenson probably isn’t the worst to bet but the problem is we think it’s too tight at the top to bet him to win and the odds aren’t there for E/W. We do like Scott Jamieson as the Top Scotsman – something you can bet at 10/11 odds at . That’s about it for this week though.
