Another nice betting day yesterday with two winners on what was a nervous day for me.
I was wary of backing a team to have a clean sheet but I did that as I bet Helsinborg to win AND keep a clean sheet. The odds on that one were 2.20 and they duly delivered with a 2-0 victory over Norrby.
I then also had Helsinborg to win in a double with Vitesse. Really shouldn’t go with the same team I feel twice, but there was no other team that really stood out for me in regards to making up a double. Luckily both came in to make it a 2-0 day.
As a Rangers fan it was great to see us get the draw yesterday and go through. I have to admit I am loving Stevie G so far. His approach of defending up the field and trying to win the ball back in the opponents third is excellent to see and so much better than the park the bus mentality of previous years.
I’m away this weekend – taking my daughter to see Taylor Swift wheee – so not sure how tips will go. I’ll have my laptop with me so hoping to get up early enough each day to do tips but if I miss a day or two – that’s why. Also just going to cover the one game here due to time constraints.
Lot of UK football kicking off this weekend but I’ll hold off on tipping it. Would rather see some games played first and see how teams are doing. Looking forward to seeing guys like Lampard in charge though.
Brazilian Serie A Betting Tips: Botafogo vs Santos
This is quite a risky bet and a large portion of it is based on value as I’m going to back Botafogo to win. They are at home and their odds of winning are 2.62. I feel it is worth the risk.
Despite their issues Botafogo have managed to get a nice little home record going of 4 wins and 3 draws in 7 games. They have a sturdy defense at home. I mean look at the stats – 21 goals conceded, but only 4 at home.
They’re going up against Santos who are in a big downward crash at the moment. Santos have only scored 3 goals away and are just overall struggling.
The run has been so bad that they brought back Cuca to hopefully turn things around however his debut as manager saw a 1-0 loss in the Copa do Brasil.
With the new manager in charge however things could change. However I do think 2.62 odds are too much for a game that is much closer to a coin flip. The Botafogo defense at home is sturdy enough and I just have to hope they can squeak a goal.
There are safer bets like Botafogo or draw or even looking at unders but I’m down with the value here.
