The week after Christmas is a great time to sit back, relax and watch some college football bowl games. The ones with real meaning don’t take place until January 31st when Alabama meets Washington in the Peach Bowl and Ohio State meets Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. The winner of those two will go on to meet in the National Championship game.

For today, we just have the fun bowl match-ups like Washington State against Minnesota. The Cougars are always a fun team to watch with Mike Leach’s offense always leading to a lot of points. We’ve seen some good things out of Minnesota the past few seasons as they made the transition from Jerry Kill to Tracy Claeys. They are known for their defense so this could be a great game.

We also have Baylor versus Boise State which is just pure offense vs offense. That could be the shootout of the day and one we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on.

National Funding Holiday Bowl Betting Tips:

While Minnesota is known for their defense, they are missing a chunk of that defense thanks to injuries. The secondary is especially looking weak for tonight’s game and that is bad news when you are facing a team known for their high octane passing attack. This game opened at -5.5 and has crawled up to -9. That is probably not going to be enough though as this game should be decided by two touchdowns. Washington State -9

Motel 6 Cactus Bowl Betting Tips:

Baylor and Boise State are two serious offenses that put up serious points every time out. On the season, they combined for a 1000 yards per game and over 70 points. The defenses have been kind as well as they allow a combined 800 per game. This game should feature some big points being scored by both teams and it seems like a sure thing it will go over 67.5. One team might even hit that number themselves.

NBA Betting Tips:

On Christmas day, we all got to witness what the Russell Westbrook show was capable of. That show should be in full effect tonight in Miami as the Thunder take on the Heat. The Thunder will be without Victor Oladipo which pretty much just means more points for Westbrook. This Miami team just feels like a tank waiting to happen and it doesn’t feel like they have a real chance against a tough team like OKC. Thunder -3

The Utah Jazz are one of only four teams to be in the top 10 in defense and top 10 in offense. We haven’t exactly seen that show up in their record yet, but they are definitely a great team by the numbers. They should have no problem showing what their capable of tonight as they face the Lakers in LA. The Lakers have been a fun story this young season as they are much improved under Luke Walton, but we’re talking about one of the best teams in the West tonight. It’s hard to see where they stand a chance, Jazz -5.
