We finished 2-1 yesterday as both of our NBA picks came in. The loss was the Redskins getting the points against the Eagles. It definitely felt like we were in a great position for this one to come in as the game was 14-13 Eagles late. An injury to Colt McCoy (already their backup) led to third string Mark Sanchez hitting the field and that went about as well as one would expect it to. Tough loss.

The sports week rolls on. Football is winding down and there won’t be much college until the bowls start up. There are just four weeks left in the NFL season too with the final games taking place on December 30th.

We have a full slate of NBA and NHL on the docket tonight so let’s get right into that.

NBA Betting Tips:

Indiana Pacers vs. Chicago Bulls: The Pacers are 13-10 on the year, but they’ve lost two straight. Their best player, Victor Oladipo, has been out with an injury and should miss tonight’s game as well. They play the Bulls here who just fired head coach Fred Hoiberg. The team seems committed to Jim Boylen as the new coach and I feel like they timed this firing right before the team’s schedule got easier and they could scrap some wins together. Indiana is a good team and when healthy they are dangerous, but I’m not sure this line should be this big considering the factors.

Bet Bulls +8.5

Dallas Mavericks vs. Portland Trail Blazers: This is a match-up of two teams on opposite trends. The Blazers are 3-7 over their past ten while the Mavericks are 8-2. Dallas has been doing it with a deep bench unit led by JJ Barea. This team seems to always have great bench units and this year might be their masterpiece. Luka Doncic is the big story, but the bench guys have been the key thus far.

Damian Lillard is a great player and he’s doing his best work this year, but the team is just not clicking right now. The Mavericks are great at home and I have to take them at this line.

Bet Mavericks -1

NHL Betting Tips:

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Buffalo Sabres: Toronto has been absolutely killing it this season and they are currently in a four game win streak. They got Auston Matthews back recently and he’s been great as ever and now they’ll add William Nylander to the fold. This team has had no issues without them, but with them they should be fantastic. The Sabres are having a nice season, but I like them to lose big at home tonight.

Bet Leafs -1.5 (+160)

Detroit Red Wings vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: It’s one of the best scoring teams in the league against one team that seemingly loves to allow goals. The Lightning are going to score some goals tonight and at least four seems like an easy bet to me. However, the Lightning have had some goaltending issues of their own of late and this one could easily turn into a shootout. Take the over.

Bet Wings/Lightning Over 6 Goals
