Let’s get straight to the betting tips for today, as we cover both UEFA Europa League and NHL:

UEFA Europa League Betting Tips:

Liverpool vs Besiktas: Have to like the Over 2.5 goals on this one. Europe can be tricky for that of course – and one goal can see teams tighten up. But we like the confidence in Liverpools offense, while their defense is still a bit of a mess. On top of that, Besiktas usually have a knack for scoring on the road.

Tottenham vs Fiorentina: Another one where we will take Over 2.5 goals. It’s at a nice price and both teams are usually good at scoring a lot. Again the only worry is it being the first leg but we’re not too concerned. The price is good enough on this one.

NHL Betting Tips for February 19th, 2015:

Flyers vs Sabres: I feel like a gamble on this one. Flyers are struggling to score but they are going to sweep the Sabres for the second season in a row, and this is the perfect game for all of their players to get over the goalscoring hump. Go with the Flyers -1.5.

Predators vs Islanders: Predators are coming in off the back of a big win over the Sharks. Islanders struggled against the Rangers although did get the nice win against the Hurricanes. This should be a great game between these teams, but we think Islanders have value at 1.83 odds at home. Take that.

Canucks vs Rangers: Talbot will be in net for the Rangers. He’s been doing okay, while the Canucks are missing a few key defenders. With two strong offenses on display, I think we have to go with the big goalscoring night. The odds on it are excellent too, so go with Over 5.5 goals in the Canucks vs Rangers game.

Penguins vs Blue Jackets: Last time these two played was in December, where the Blue Jackets sneaked the victory. Crosby took a rest day and didn’t practise. Penguins match up well with the Blue Jackets, and we’re going to gamble their offense gets on track tonight and gets the win. Take the Penguins -1.5.

Capitals vs Jets: Despite their struggles last season, the Capitals still beat the Jets twice and looked good in doing so. They are back home after an excellent road trip, and full of confidence. Washington have been a bit iffy at home in terms of blowing teams away – they do it, but it’s quite rare. We’ll play it safe with Capitals in regulation.

Panthers vs Habs: An excellent opportunity for the Florida Panthers to upset the Habs. Montreal are reeling after that loss last night, and are missing some key players. Florida can make this a tight game. We’ll take the risk of Panthers in Regulation at 3.25 odds.

Sharks vs Stars: Looking forward to this game. Back in November they had a high scoring game. Sharks are coming off that 5-1 thumping by the Predators, and Stalock is struggling like crazy. Although surely Niemi will be in tonight. Hemsky could be back for Dallas tonight, and Lehtonen is bringing it lately. Take the Stars to win.
