Hi guys,

Sorry I didn’t have any tips last week. That’s unfortunately going to happen every now and then.

Basically what happens is I sit down and start looking at the data and I’m just not feeling it. Players aren’t jumping out at me and I almost feel forced to make bets etc.

At that point I always just skip the week and return fresh the next week.

Personally I hate it. I’ll be sitting down on the weekend watching the golf just not caring even though we had a couple of classics last weekend. However without bets I just don’t have as much interest.

But that’s the way it’ll be sometimes – as otherwise I feel like I’m just blowing our money away.

If there are no tips up by Tuesday night assume I’m skipping that week. That’s one reason I don’t charge for these tips – to save me the hassle of feeling that pressure.

Alright on with this week. Nothing huge confidence wise but a lot of possibilities.

This tournament didn’t take place last year due to the flooding. The course was given a full renovation. It’s still pretty much the same course just nice and new. Course form should still be a factor.

Webb Simpson: Solid performances here in the past and he’s been in good form over May/June other than that poor showing at the Memorial Tournament. I’d rather a bit better odds but I’ll take 1/4 unit to win and E/W. If it was higher odds – over 30/1 – I’d probably do half a unit.

Danny Lee: Similar to Webb in that he’s had some good form coming into this one. He won it last time out and I do always hate backing a back to back winner. The pressure is too much for a lot of them – but I’ll take 1/4 unit to win and E/W.

Ted Potter Jr. A previous winner here I believe Ted is worth a 1/4 unit play to win and E/W. He’s been playing the Web.com where he has had some really good form with 4 Top 10 finishes in the last 3 months. He might come out here with something to prove. Worth a bet at the odds.

That’s 3 quarter unit plays. I’m going to take a final quarter unit and spread it to win and E/W on 4 higher stakes golfers. The reason is that in the last few years here we’ve seen winners at odds of 125/1, 100/1, 500/1 etc. So hey it’s worth a shot.

The 4 I’m betting on are:

– Smylie Kaufman 110/1
– Scott Brown 140/1
– Spencer Levin 140/1
– Johnson Wagner 90/1

Irish Open 2017 Betting Tips:

First European Tour tournament at this course so historical course form data doesn’t help. From a quick look at this course I think the people who excel on Par 4/5s will be the ones to dominate.

I’m making that my main focus this week and these are the bets.

– Hideki Matsuyama 1/2 unit to win
– Tommy Fleetwood 1/2 unit to win & E/W
– Dean Burmester 1/4 unit to win & E/W
– Jon Rahm 1/4 unit to win & E/W
– David Lipsky 1/4 unit to win & E/W
– Brandon Stone 1/4 unit to win & E/W

LECOM Health Challenge Betting Tips:

This is the Web.com Tour. I haven’t had any success with this yet FYI. I’m taking Rhein Gibson to win and E/W for a 1/4 unit and Denny McCarthy and Sebastian Cappelen to win and E/W for the same. With no cashes yet I don’t really feel confident in my Web.com picks so your call if you want to take them.
