The golf last week was a good one that could have been better.

We had the 90/1 Dean Burmester who was in contention at the DP World Tour Championship. And man I gotta say he was looking good for awhile to win it.

As it is he finished tied for 4th to get us the E/W cash. Unfortunately for us so did two others so it fell under dead heat rules meaning we didn’t profit as much as we would have liked.

Here’s the betting slip for that one:

Golf is starting to wind down for the season and I may skip a few tournaments but don’t worry – we’ve got SOME tournaments going on and there’s plenty of other action for me to cover.

Let’s get on with this weeks tips:

CFL Grey Cup 2018 Betting Tips:

The Calgary Stampeders are 4.5 point favourites and you have to wonder if this year they can do it. The Stampeders hav ebeen arguably the best CFL team for quite awhile now but you have to go back to 2014 when they last won it by beating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

They were in the last two finals and last years was insane with the Argonauts pulling it out late. The year prior they lost in overtime to the Ottawa Redblacks who they face this Sunday.

I’ve got to think they will. Unlike previous years the Stampeders weren’t the elite team the entire season – they really slumped the second half. It got to the point I didn’t even think they’d beat Winnipeg last week but they did so.

Redblacks gave the Tiger-Cats a 46-27 thumping but I just think the Stampeders are the better team. Yes Trevor Harris killed it against the Tiger-Cats however they were never known for defence. Stampeders are a different breed entirely.

How about Eric Rogers? He’s just what the doctor in Calgary ordered and this could be the last game for Bo Levi Mitchell who could be playing in the NFL next season. What a way it iwll be for him to go out.

Overall I think the Stampeders defence wins the game for them. They looked excellent last week and I think Ottawa will struggle to score against them.

Stampeders -4.5 is my play for the Grey Cup

Golf Bets:

This week we have the Hong Kong Open and I’ve got four plays for you.

We’re going with Rafa Cabrera Bello to win. He performs extremely well at this course and is coming in on decent form. Always the bridesmaid and never the bride with two 2nd places in a row – time for third time lucky.

I’m also on Lucas Bjerregaard to win & Top 5. Lovely price of +1500 on him to win and he is similar to Rafa – coming in with decent form and performs well here.

The Australian Marcus Fraser is a longshot bet to win and top 5. He’s another one who has performed well here and had an excellent performance at the Australian Open. He’s one of the most in-form golfers in this tournament in my opinion.

Finally Jason Scrivener to win and top 5. Solid performances here and coming in hot.
