We had to wait an extra year but it’s finally here – Euro 2020. In 2021.

Italy vs Turkey is the first game of the tournament with it starting at 3pm EST.

We will then have three games taking place each day following that for the most part.

I could almost cry with joy.

I will be providing betting tips for each game and of course will be watching each game thoroughly. I can’t freaking wait.

Let’s get right into it:

Italy vs Turkey Betting Tips:

Italy are strong favourites to defeat Turkey at 1.50 odds to win the game in 90 minutes. The draw is 3.75 and Turkey are 8.00 odds to win.

Italy come into this one on the back of two successful friendlies over San Marino and Czech Republic where they won 7-0 and 4-0 respectively, and looked professional throughout.

Turkey come into this one off the back of some disappointing friendlies. 2-1 over Azerbaijan, 0-0 against Guiney and then 2-0 over Moldova.

Turkey are coming to Rome with one goal in mind – a draw. That’s what they will be going for – although it won’t surprise me if they try to catch Italy off guard early on. Italy haven’t conceded a goal yet in the year 2021 so a quick goal could crush them.

If you’re looking for a correct score prediction, I think we see something like Italy 2-0. They’ll get a goal and then as Turkey push for one of their dramatic equalizers, wrap it up with a final goal.

However I am going to go with the second half to have the most goals. Historically the second half does – especially in international tournaments. At an early stage of Euro 2016, it was something like 33 goals in the second half compared to 14 in the first half.

If we go by Euro 2016 stats, in the opening games we saw the second half have more goals 7 times, the first half just twice, and it was even three times.

You have to pick your spots but this seems as good a time as any to go with it.
