A 1-1 record last night.

The Clippers -1.5 were our favorite pick and that one came in easily. One night after scoring 50 points, Lou Williams did it again for the Clippers as he scored 30 in the victory. This team is really showing something of late and Williams is playing some of the best basketball of his career right now. Crazy.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Cavs -3 got absolutely spanked by the Raptors last night. The Raptors were without both Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry in this one and the team just stepped up all around them. That was a game that they probably had circled on their schedule for a long time before last night.

Orlando Magic vs. Washington Wizards Betting Tips:

The Wizards are starting to come around and get things done this season. They are 9-6 in their past 30 days with a 3.1 Net Rating. While this team still needs another piece or two to really compete in the East, they have been playing much better of late and are grabbing rebounds at a solid rate. Health has been a big factor in the success and tonight is a good chance for them to flex their muscles against the lowly Magic.

Over that same 30 day period, the Magic have an NBA worst -10.6 Net Rating. That is so bad. I hate laying this many points in the NBA, but the Magic deserve it. Wizards -10 control magic (sorry) and they should beat the Magic easily here.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks Betting Tips:

The Hawks have not been great this season, but they have been much better at home. They have a 7-11 home record while going 10-8 against the spread. For most teams that wouldn’t be anything to get excited about, but when a team has just 11 wins on the season that is a reason for celebration. They have a great chance to add to their total tonight against the Nets.

While the Nets have been a tough team to beat this season with a great against the spread record, they have been worst on the road with just a 6-13 record. The home/road splits really favor the Hawks here and Atlanta -3.5 is a solid play.

Houston Rockets vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Tips:

The Rockets without James Harden have kept up pretty well. Chris Paul has shown he’s still one of the best players in the NBA and Eric Gordon has stepped up in a major way. They still have their issues when it comes to depth, but this is a good team even without James Harden

They face the Suns tonight in Phoenix and while we think the Rockets should win this one, the line is a bit too high. Phoenix has played well of late as they are coming off a big win against the Thunder and they can keep up scoring with the Rockets in a way that few teams can. It feels odd to write, but our system loves the Suns +7 at home tonight against the Rockets and we believe in the system.
