Welcome to the Sports Betting Tips for January 13th, 2014.

We had a great day out yesterday with the NBA, going 2-1.

We had the Pistons to beat the Raptors – a big risky bet considering the Pistons were +6 points underdogs. However we went with them knowing they would do the business, and they did that. A huge money line win.

We had the Rockets -6 and they duly delivered over Brooklyn.

Our one loss was the Bulls -10.5. A surprise one there as the Magic just couldn’t fail to hit the net every freaking time. When you have not one but TWO players on 33 points? Yeah – that’s the sign of a good night.

We went with Over 5.5 goals in the Lightning vs Flyers NHL game, and that one duly delivered with a nice easy win with the Flyers hammering in the goals for fun.

We’re a little bit late tonight with miscommunication issues so we’re going to focus all our attentions on the NHL tonight:

NHL Betting Tips for January 13th, 2015:

Lightning vs Bruins: Going to be hard for Tampa to pick themselves up after last night. They’re also a fair bit beaten up. The odds are a bit short at 1.62, but Bruins are probably a good bet. We’d recommend it with overtime and a shootout because despite everything, Tampa are a team not to be messed with.

Red Wings vs Sabres: The Red Wings are without Howard which is a concern. Yet they are still massive favourites at 1.45. We’re going to go with what we feel is a nice value bet on Buffalo at 2.80. They made

Islanders vs Rangers: Always fun battles, and with the way both offenses are at the moment we like going with Over 5.5 goals in the Battle of New York.

Wild vs Penguins: Pittsburgh are without Maatta, but we’re seeing them at their best at the moment. Defensively they’re looking very solid and if defense and offense both click for the Penguins come May – well, we could be looking at our next Stanley Cup Champions. Take Penguins -1.5.

Avalanche vs Hurricanes: Avs are resting Varlamov and starting Pickard. They’ve been playing really well with Varlamov in net. We’ll go with the Hurricanes here. 1.74 odds on that one.

Oilers vs Blues: We like the Oilers to battle here and feel they are good for a couple of goals. Should probably lose, but Over 5.5 is 1.90 which is a really nice price.

Canucks vs Predators: Neal is back for the Preds, as this already strong team gets stronger. it’s a short price but the Canucks can always fight well – so take the Predators at 1.60 odds including overtime and the shootout. Still value, despite the price. You could even double it up with the Boston Bruins.

Panthers vs Jets: 1.80 is the price on the Jets, and we have to take that. Yes the Panthers have a nice run going but the Jets are the better team.

Stars vs Senators: Injuries etc, a lot of unknowns. Stay clear of this game.

Sharks vs Coyotes: Coyotes have bled goals all season, and you’d think the Sharks would kill them. But they’re also conceding a lot of goals. We’d love to take the Coyotes with the record of the Sharks against the inferior teams, but instead with the way both teams are leaking goals we’ll go with Over 5.5 at 2.10 odds.
