A nice 2-0 record last night.

At halftime of the Raptors and Warriors game we felt like absolute fools. We picked the Raptors +5.5 and the score was 81-54 Warriors at the half. This is one of those games you look at the score and just laugh. Then the second half happened. The Raptors put up an absolutely amazing comeback and had the ball in their hands with the chance to tie or take the lead late in the fourth. They ran out of steam, but they definitely grabbed the Warriors attention. Even better, they covered and grabbed us a win.

Our other tip was the Spurs -7 against a tired Nuggets team and this one was never really in doubt. The Spurs ended up winning 112-80 in an easy win. The Nuggets made a game of it in the third quarter as they outscored the Spurs by 11, but then the fourth happened and the Spurs erupted for a 39-18 final frame and a dominating win.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Miami Heat Betting Tips:

I do not like this game for the Bucks. First of all, it’s a Sunday home game for the Heat. That means that the Bucks spent Saturday night in Miami, one of the best party cities in the world. I’m not saying they went out and partied last night, but the odds are there and we know that teams will lose games during the regular season due to partying the night before. This is a worse case scenario if that’s the case for the Bucks as this one starts at 1:05 local time.

Forget about all that though as the Heat are hot right now. They’ve won six straight while the Bucks have played some real uneven basketball as of late. The Bucks defense has been really unimpressive this season and the Heat are a team that can take advantage of something like that. They are a really well coached team that is playing great ball right now. The Heat -1 should probably be giving more in this, so we are all over it.

Portland Trailblazers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Tips:

This is the fifth and final game of a home stand for the Timberwolves. This run has been really successful as they’ve won the first four games and covered the spread in each one. They draw a great match-up here against the Blazers. Portland is on the fourth game of a road trip that hasn’t been going great for them.

Minnesota has been one of the top offenses in basketball this season, fourth in Offensive Rating on the season, and it’s hard not to like them against this Blazers team. They haven’t been scoring very well and while their defense has been better than expected, I don’t see them stopping the Wolves here. The Blazers are just 7-14 this year against teams with a winning record and Minnesota is slowly proving themselves as one of the elite teams in the West.

At home against a team that has lost two straight and looking really good themselves right now, Minnesota -5.5 is a great play tonight.
