An 0-1 record last night.

If you saw the Wizards huge win over the Thunder on the road coming last night, you should not be reading this website because if you saw that coming you are probably Nostradamus. This was the Wizards first win in Oklahoma City ever. This was also the first time they had beaten this franchise at home since they were called the Seattle Supersonics. I could see them not covering the spread, but an 18-point loss is just incredible. Russell Westbrook is my LVP here as he had eight turnovers in the game. He was 9-for-23 from the field and combined with Paul George’s 7-for-18, that’s just no way to win in this league.

Last night also saw the Wolves get a huge win over the Lakers at home and then right after the game they fired head coach Tom Thibodeau. I can’t say I blame them after all that Jimmy Butler drama, but the timing is weird. They had won two straight and sit just two games out of the 8th seed. That said, this was only a matter of time.

Eight games on the slate tonight including a couple of really fun games as the Nuggets head to Houston and Jazz face the Bucks. Should be a good night of NBA, let’s see what the lines have for us.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans Betting Tips:

The Grizzlies are in a bad place right now. They’ve lost five straight and ten of their last twelves. They are 8-14 as a road underdog this year and that’s exactly what they come into this game as. This team has made some moves of late, getting rid of Chandler Parsons (who wasn’t playing anyway) and adding Justin Holliday, but that doesn’t really move the needle for me. They just aren’t really good right now and probably never were this year. The offense ranks 27th in Offensive Rating with bottom-8 true shooting percentage and effective field goal percentage. They don’t have the shooting or the talent to win.

The Pelicans might not either, but they do have Anthony Davis and that makes up for a lot in this league. The lack of Nikola Mirotic hurts and E’Twaun Moore is listed as questionable here, but this is definitely a game that the Pelicans should win. They are 13-6 at home this season with the third best Offensive Rating in the league.

No picks on the big games, but I’ll share my thoughts here.

Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks: I have a hard time seeing the Bucks losing two straight at home. That game on Saturday featured some really lucky shooting as the five starters collectively shot over 60% from three. I don’t see that happening here as the Jazz simply don’t have that kind of firepower. These teams each won their home games last season and I think they do that again here. My system has this line pegged as right on so it could really go either way in regards to the spread.

Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets: It is impossible to go against James Harden right now, especially at home, but I really want to tonight. No Eric Gordon, Michael Carter-Williams was traded, and Chris Paul is still out. Something has to give eventually, right? The Nugs are getting healthy and have won five straight. If this game was in Denver, I’d be all over the Nuggets. As is, I’m staying away and enjoying the show.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks: I like the Mavs here as they have been killing it at home, but -8 is a lot for this team to be giving up.

Orlando Magic vs. Sacramento Kings: I feel the same way here. Love the Kings at home, but -5.5 should be more like -2.
