The Open championship starts today and it was a rough start for local favorite Rory McIlroy. He had opened at 8-1, but after getting a quadruple-bogey on the very first hole those odds dropped to 33-1. This could doom his chances of winning this tournament as no major winner in the past 20 years has started with a triple or quadruple-bogey.

Our sports news sees that Chris Paul should be staying put with the Thunder until the season starts. His contract is just too big and there has been too much player movement for him to find a good deal and he’ll likely have to wait til in season if he wants to move on. This could be a fun season though as the crowd should love him. Paul was apart of the New Orleans Hornets team that played part of their season in Oklahoma City after the hurricane and he was beloved by the local fans there. This roster isn’t a championship contender, but they could be a similar team to last year’s Clippers as they are better than they look on paper.

We have a few tips today so let’s get into them.

MLB Betting Tips:

MLB Tips comes from the Bet MLB System.

Oakland Athletics at Minnesota Twins: The Athletics are sending Mike Fiers to the mound here and he has a 5.03 ERA/5.20 FIP in his road starts this season. He has a 1.68 HR/9 rate on the year and he’s facing one of the best offense in the league in the Twins tonight. Minnesota has a 111 wRC+ against right handed pitchers on the season. I don’t see that going well for him.

Kyle Gibson goes for the Twins and he’s been fantastic at home this year with a 3.69 ERA/3.28 FIP. While the Athletics offense has been hot of late, I think that Gibson can do enough to shut them down and the Twins offense should handle the rest as the Twins look to continue their amazing season.

WNBA Betting Tips:

Dallas Wings at Los Angeles Sparks: The Wings got the win over the Sparks a little over a week back, but that was a real schedule hell for the Sparks with an early start to the game and today they should be getting their revenge. They are the much better team overall and I’m surprised to see this line isn’t in double digits. The Wings have really struggled this season at 5-12 and their struggles should continue here.

Bet Sparks -7.5

CFL Betting Tips:

Toronto Argonauts at Calgary Stampeders: The Stampeders are on a short week here, but Toronto is just so bad that I’m not sure it matters. They’ve only scored 21 points once this season with every other game being less than that. That just won’t cut it against Calgary who have scored 23 or more in every game this season. This line could easily be in the 20s and I wouldn’t blink an eye. The fact that it’s where it is has me all over the Stamps today.

Bet Stampeders -12
