Well I had fun betting the China Super League alas after a winning day Wednesday, it went awry on Thursday.
We had Wuhan Zall to defeat Jiangsu Sainty. Although Jiangsu went 1-0 up they then had a man sent off and I was feeling good about that one. Wuhan equalized alas despite controlling 67% of possession their creativity was lacking big time and they were unable to get the winning goal.
We expected a big win from Beijing Guoan over Bejing Renhe FC alas even though Guoan had the chances they barely won 2-1 thanks to a late penalty.
For Thursday, July 18th we will cover one of my favourite leagues which is the MLS. It’s a league I have really gotten into over the years and I’ve been doing betting tips on it a lot on this site.
Let’s get to it:
FC Cincinnati vs DC United Betting Tips:
FC Cincinnati are slight favourites for this one at 2.45 odds even though they are bottom of the Eastern conference tied with Columbus. DC United are 2nd in the East.
A large part of that is no doubt to do with recent form. DC United have had a bad run of it lately with just 1 win in their last 6 matches and 5 of those were at home. Their lone away fixture in that period was against Dallas where they lost 2-0.
Their away form has been pretty dismal all season with 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses.
Cincinnati on the other hand have strung two wins together with victories over Chicago Fire and Houston.
One of DC United biggest issues this season is goalscoring. They have built their foundation on their defense which has helped them but you’d have to think they would have no problem here against Cincinnati who boast the weakest defense in the league with 45 goals conceded in 20 games.
A big loss for DC United of course will be Luciano Acosta. He lost the appeal and will miss this game which really sucks for DC and creativity will be tricky for them. Despite that I am cautiously optimistic that they take this one.

Portland Timbers vs Orlando City SC Betting Tips:
Portland are pretty heavy favourites here at 1.53 odds. The draw is 4.00 and Orlando is 6.00.
Orlando are currently 8th in the East but have a decent enough run of form going at the moment minus some solid consistency.
Portland have went three games without a loss but we haven’t seen too much of them at home with just 4 games this season played at home this year which is crazy. Mixed results there.
Orlando will be up for this one knowing they can move into the playoff spots with a win here.
I watched the Portland game against Colorado last weekend and I feel Portland will be a bit more consistent here defensively I felt they were complacent in that one squandering the lead twice.
In saying that Orlando have been playing better lately and I think this might be a close one.
