June 12th, 2021 Euro 2020 Soccer Bets

We get Euro 2020 off to a winning start.

I tipped the second half to have the most goals in Italy vs Turkey. It was mostly a relaxing first half with a few nervy parts including that penalty claim – but the first half ended 0-0, and we needed exactly 8 minutes in the second half for the first goal, and for us to win the bet.

I will now proceed to cover multiple games in each day as opposed to individual posts for each game. Just much easier for me that way.

We have Wales vs Switzerland, Denmark vs Finland and Belgium vs Russia on Saturday, June 12th.

Wales vs Switzerland Betting Tips:

For Euro 2020, I predict a lot of heartbreak for Welsh fans. Obviously with a player like Gareth Bale, many don’t feel the same way.

Switzerland come in on the back of a great winning run and full of confidence. My only concern is complacency but going up against someone like Bale, it’s hard to expect that.

Wales come in stuttering with a 0-0 draw against Albania. Back in March they had some good results.

I just feel the price is too good to ignore on Switzerland here. I don’t really rate Wales but that will change of course if they pull it off here.

Belgium vs Russia Betting Tips:

Belgium come in on the back of some tight, low scoring games. Bit of a surprise that. 1-1 draw with Greece, 1-0 win over Croatia. Russia similarly come in with tight results – 1-1 against Poland and 1-0 over Bulgaria.

Those results make me think we are getting some value on the over 2.5 goals.

Both teams defensively were beasts during the qualification with Belgium conceding just 3 and Russia just 8 – 7 of which were against Belgium.

Belgium are also that team where you gotta feel they are thinking they are due – and will be up for it and striking fast and hard.

Basically I’m happy enough on both teams to get the goals going here. I think we’re getting some good value simply due to the friendly results.

Denmark vs Finland Betting Tips:

This is a key game for Denmark obviously. With Belgium in the group, they need a win over here big time.

They were solid in qualification with a 4-4-0 record. They come in strong with some solid performances including a win over Bosnia and a draw with Germany. Also in World Cup qualifiers wins and clean sheets in their last 3.

Finland will just try to play tight defensively I think but they are coming in struggling to score.

I like the Danes. They have the ability to score and goal difference could be a factor so they will get the job done and in solid fashion I believe. Other than Pukki there isn’t much to be concerned about.
