So we’re into a new month, almost halfway through 2015 and the big sporting events have more or less drawn to a close. Or have they? We were looking at the calendar and couldn’t believe just how stacked this weekend’s sporting action is. We have the NBA Playoff Final starting, Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final is on the Saturday. We also have the Epsom Derby and the Oaks that weekend, as well as the French Open finals. Oh, and just the biggest game of the European football season, too, with Barcelona taking on Juventus in the Champions League Final. So there’s so much to look forward to, even though the rest of the week does look a bit dry for action, although we have the MLB ongoing and we’ll have our usual golf tips on Wednesday to look forward to.

We’re going to to look at the MLB action, as well as one match that we love the look of in Tuesday’s French Open tennis action. So let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for June 1, 2015.

MLB Betting Tips:

The Diamondbacks are going to be hurting today. A 17-inning game yesterday that didn’t go in their favour just sucks the life out of a team, and coming up against an in-form Alex Wood isn’t going to help them either. The Atlanta Braves are going well, including a couple of big wins over the Giants. Take Braves to beat the Diamondbacks which looks great value to us. Nationals to beat the Blue Jays also looks good to us. This is all down to the pitching battle here, and Jordan Zimmerman goes well at home, which is they key to this match-up. They have looked vulnerable over the weekend, but this is a good chance for them to get a W, with the Blue Jay’s Dickey starting is going through a bit of a crisis of confidence at the moment. The better pitcher wins here for us, which means Zimmerman and his Nationals get the nod.

French Open Betting Tip

Looking at it, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga to beat Kei Nishikori is a huge, huge price at tomorrow’s French Open. He’s taken the scalp of Tomas Berdych, who was in great form coming into the French Open. Nishikori has looked solid, but the price for Tsonga is huge, given that on his day he is a class act, and will also have the home crowd right behind him. I’d have this as a 50-50 match, the bookies have Tsonga at almost 3/1, so get on it, because that price certainly won’t last. Look for big serves, massive forehands and great athleticism from the Frenchman, which might just be too much for the Japanese player.
