I’m starting to wonder if the Cleveland Indians are going to do their Cleveland Indians thing again.

Two years ago, this team was seemingly out of the race before breaking off a streak of 22 straight wins. That got them right back in the thick of things and won them the AL Central.

Last year, they didn’t have much contention in the AL Central but still busted out a 19-9 August to run away with the division.

They are currently on an 8-2 run, but are still 8 games behind the Twins in the standings. This team has a lot of questions from a roster construction perspective, but the call-up of Bobby Bradley should help and Jose Ramirez and Francisco Lindor can carry this team along way as they have the great pitching. Maybe this is just a small blip in a long season, but I wouldn’t count that team out for this division just yet. They’ve done it before.

The Indians are off tonight, but we do have seven games on the MLB slate as well as some great CONCAAF Gold Cup action. Let’s get into the tips.

MLB Betting Tips:

Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants:

  Team Pitcher FIP-
AWAY Rockies Jon Gray 91
HOME Giants Drew Pomeranz 146

Drew Pomeranz is having a rough season. He has a 7.09 ERA/6.01 ERA on the season. He’s had some better luck at home with a 4.21 ERA/3.69 FIP, but I am still rather down on him here. The Rockies offense is really heating up lately with a 112 wRC+ over their last 14 days and they have hit lefties well throughout the season.

The Rockies will send Jon Gray to the mound and I really love his match-up here. The Giants are one of the worst offenses against right handed pitchers in all of baseball with just a .681 OPS and 81 wRC+. Gray has a 4.18 ERA/4.20 FIP on the year, but he’s actually lowered his FIP every month this season. He’s looked better on the road and this match-up is near perfect for him. All over the Rockies today.

Bet Rockies -113

CONCAAF Betting Tips:

Haiti vs. Costa Rica: This should be a good game as both teams are fighting for the top spot in Group B. Each team won their first two match-ups and and this is the final match of the group. This is the third time that these two have met in teh Gold Cup with Costa Rica having a 1-0-1 record in those games. Throw in the all-time record between these teams, Haiti at 0-8-4 against CR, and it’s easy to see why the Costa Ricans are big favorites here.

Costa Rica -160 is a great value here. This team has never lost to Haiti and they were the favorites in this group for a reason.

That said, I can’t imagine this game being a low scoring affair. Costa Rica has scored six goals in their two games while Haiti has scored two in each game. This definitely feels like a 2-1 or 3-2 kind of game and that really makes this over feel like the best bet of the day.
