If there is one thing I’ve learned watching baseball it’s that you can’t keep a good offense down, especially if you are a bad bullpen.

Yesterday saw some more Astros magic as they fell down early 5-0 to the Blue Jays and clawed their way back. It was 5-6 in the bottom of the ninth and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more confident a team would hit a walk-off homerun. You know what they did. This team is one of the best teams this league has ever seen and I really wonder if anyone will be able to stop them on their way to a repeat World Series.

One team that will try is the Seattle Mariners. They had a similar game yesterday as they were up early, but then found themselves down 5-7 to the Orioles in the ninth inning. They were able to score two in the ninth and then add one in extra innings to grab the win.

The moral of the story? Always bet the good teams. They’ll reward you for it.

CFL Betting Tips:

I’m really excited for this one tonight as I am thinking it’s going to be a really high scoring affair with lots of action. One one hand, you have Calgary and Don Jackson who is one of the best running backs in the league. On the other hand, you have Ottawa with Trevor Harris and William Powell making up a dynamic offense. I’m looking for a wide open game and these two offenses to run wild, bet the over 57.5.

MLB Betting Tips:

This is an early game, but I have to go for the Mariners again here today. They have the chance to sweep and are facing a pitcher named Jimmy Yacabonis. I don’t know much about him, but his projections don’t show great things happening today and Mike Leake has been very solid for Seattle. They are just really playing well right now and they really need the win here. Take the Mariners -160.

Aaron Nola is having a great season and is a big reason why the Phillies are in contention. I honestly can’t say what is going on with the Nationals offense this year, but they are well below average and really struggling. With Tanner Roark on the mound for the Nationals and his ERA a full two runs higher than Nola, it’s not hard to bet this one for me. Take the Phillies -130.

You know who else is a good team? The Boston Red Sox. They have the top hitting offense against right handed pitchers this year and tonight have the pleasure of facing Jaime Barria. He’s a pitcher that has really struggled on the road and really struggled against right handed batters. The Red Sox just so happen to have JD Martinez and Mookie Betts, plus they always play well at home. The Angels are heading the wrong way right now and I can’t believe this line is so low. Take the Red Sox -133.
