I covered La Liga on the weekend and with a few games on the go there Wednesday, I thought we’d explore it again.
On Saturday, I went 2-1. I won with the 3.75 play of Barcelona and Atletico going to a draw. That was nice. I was so close to going with Barca there too and changed my mind at last minute feeling the draw had value.
I also won with Cadiz or Draw. The great Huescape didn’t pan out for Huesca there with a mental end to the first half.
Sunday was an unfortunate 0-3 disappointment. Getafe lost, Valencia shut out Valladolid which surprised me, and Real Madrid had to claw back twice just to get a draw. Dominant performance too there.
Valladolid one was tough as they had a whopping 19 shots there too.
Let’s look at the 4 games taking place on Wednesday:
Sevilla vs Valencia:
Valencia pulled off that big win against Valladolid but I think they come crashing back down to earth here. They have been good at scoring lately but Sevilla have a good defensive record. No bet although backing Sevilla defensively isn’t the worst play.
Celta Vigo vs Getafe:
Celta Vigo come in on a nice little run and are on form at the moment. Getafe are battling relegation.
Getafe just can’t get going lately and I like the on form team. There is still very slim chances of Europe and they are fighting strong. They will miss Ferreyra unfortunately and are missing quite a few players but I still think they can do the business. The price is great. 1u on Celta Vigo at 2.35 odds.
Huesca vs Athletic Bilboa:
Huesca just can’t get going. I can’t see them winning but I am undecided between the draw and Bilboa win. Plus hey Huesca gotta be desperate so who knows. I lean the draw but no play.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad:
Atletico look to continue their race to win the title here. They got that 0-0 draw against Real Madrid.
The odds are actually quite good regardless. I know Sociedad are quality but Merino has been a big loss for them.
Taking a gamble. 3u on Atletico at 1.60 odds.
