So what happened over the weekend in the world of sport? Do you know what, very little. The NBA season is drawing ever closer to the playoffs, everything is becoming settled. It’s the same in the NHL, to be fair. And in football, well, it was, for most leagues, a break for the international friendlies. England produced an Easter comeback worth of the big man himself, coming from 2-0 down against the Germans to win 3-2 in Germany. Some real class shown from the fresh blood in the England squad, but will Hodgson take the game on the big stage and replace the perennial underachievers and replace them with some new stars? Probably not.

So, as things wind up in the North American sports, and not much happening in the world of football, both American football, and rest of the world football, it’s a quiet end to the month of March, really.

But anyway, let’s get to the free sports betting tips for March 28rd 2016.

NHL Betting Tips

A few tight games tonight, but one that really jumps out at me is Flyers -1 to beat the Jets. The Flyers are looking to get that second wildcard spot, and wit the injury to Claude Giroux not as bad as feared, now is the time for Philly to put real pressure on Detroit. The fact the Flyers are hot at home right now is a huge plus, and it also really helps that the Jets have been stinking the place out bad on the road at the same time.

There also some huge value in going over 5.5 goals in the Kings/Sharks game, because the Sharks aren’t exactly playing well at home, and things look like they’re clicking back into gear for the Kings after Saturday’s 6-4 win against Edmonton. The Sharks shipped 6 goals to Edmonton and then 4 to Dallas, so there’s a bit of a leak going on right now, especially when you take into account just how poor Edmonton truly are. So I think there’s some real value to be had, with the books expecting a lower-scoring affair.

NBA Betting Tips

There’s not much to get excited about tonight, really, as the action looks a bit underwhelming in terms of excitement. Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t find any value to be had in tonight’s action. In fact, nights like this can often be better!

Lakers +14 is a definite play tonight. Why? Well, even though the Jazz are going to hold the Lakers to few points, it’s not like Utah ran up the score on many opponents. 14 points is a lot for a team that is involved in so many low-scoring games. Plus, it’s Kobe’s last trip to Utah, at least for professional reasons, so let’s hope he goes out with a bang.

Nets +9.5 is the other play for tonight. Miami have home-court advantage in their sights, and with a strong run towards the end of the season, the Celtics are within their reach. However, Brooklyn have looked in good form of late, with big wins over the Cavs and the Pacers. And when you look back at their games this season, the Nets don’t mind playing Miami. In fact, the spread in their last three games has been, at worst, 6, and at best 4. The games are always tight, so a 9.5 point start for the nets would have got them over the line every time. We’ll take the Nets to keep it close, but they’ll probably be on the losing side of the result.
