A 2-1 night last night.

What would’ve been a perfect night was ruined by the Cavs. I just don’t get it with these guys. They were facing a Jazz team on a schedule alert, at home and they still couldn’t get the job done. I give kudos to the Jazz and all, but Cleveland has been the favorite in their past five games and are just 2-3, 1-4 against the spread.

That is not exactly encouraging with just 20 games until the playoffs. Yes, they have LeBron James but for the first time in a long time that might not be enough to make the Finals.

The Heat grabbed an easy win at home against the tired Pistons. A true team effort here as the Heat had eight players with eight or more points including a huge 8 points, 19 rebound game from Hassan Whiteside.

We also went against the Thunder and their shoddy defense against the Blazers in Portland. That was a big win for Portland behind a 28/8/6 game for C.J. McCollum. That’s six straight for the Blazers who have out of nowhere moved into the #3 seed in the West while dropping the Thunder to seventh. Things are getting interesting.

Indiana Pacers vs. Washington Wizards Betting Tips:

If the playoffs ended today this would be a playoff match-up. Considering the season ends in a little over a month, that is a very real possibility and I think it’d make for a good series.

The Wizards have been playing great ball since losing John Wall and his reintegration is a real question. They were moving the ball better with Bradley Beal as lead dog and were running through teams until running into Golden State and Toronto. No shame in those losses and they’ll look to get back on track here.

This is the end of a four game road trip for Indiana with weird results. They beat Milwaukee, but lost to Dallas and Atlanta. A win here would be great, but the Wizards should want it just as bad.

We don’t do a lot of totals here, but this feels like a great time for one. Both teams have great, ball movement offense and need a win big time here. Over 208.5 is the play in this match-up between two top 10 Offensive Rating teams.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Tips:

Outside of the Rockets, the Pelicans are the hottest team in the West right now with seven straight wins. They’ve clawed their way up to the fifth seed and have their eyes on the vulnerable Timberwolves for the fourth seed. That would be a huge success after losing DeMarcus Cousins and it’s easy to see why there is some MVP buzz around Anthony Davis right now.

They should win easily tonight at Dallas. There is nothing to play for down there and now that Dirk Nowitzki got to 31,000 points, they clearly have their eyes on the lottery. While they have played frisky of late, those were against teams that aren’t nearly as locked in as this Pelicans team right now. The home court advantage isn’t much of one for them this season as they are just 9-23 while playing in the Big D.

We’re all over the Pelicans -4.5 in Dallas tonight.
