Welcome to the free sports betting tips for March 7th 2016.

This weekend will definitely go down in the history books as one of the most memorable sporting weekends of the year, surely. We saw the internet almost implode due to the UFC results over the weekend, with Conor McGregor becoming the butt of social media’s jokes. I guess that’s what happens when you come across as arrogant. Sure, we wanted McGregor to win, but we tipped up Diaz as the value, and we all cashed in nicely. Although not as nicely as that guy with the $77,000 on Miesha Tate to beat Holly Holm. So that was two big sporting headlines, and that’s just the UFC!

In the NBA, the Lakers absolutely destroyed the Warriors last night. With the Lakers going in as 16 points dogs and winning by 17, it was a shock that I’m sure no-one saw coming. Is the party finally over for the Warriors? You wouldn’t have thought so, but the Spurs are closing in on them, and that 73 game record is now looking a long way off.

And then we have the English Premiership, which still continues to shock, even though Leicester City have been perched at the top for a while now. Yes, Leicester consolidated their position at the head of the table with a 1-0 win over Watford, while Arsenal and Spurs dropped points in the early kick-off, with 10-man Arsenal coming back to snatch a 2-2 draw, so both sides dropping points there. Liverpool got a dramatic 2-1 over Crystal Palace with a last minute penalty, Manchester City got things back on track by demolishing Aston Villa, and the Manchester United resurgence ended at The Hawthorns, losing 1-0 to West Brom. Things are more than a little weird in English football right now.

Now, let’s get to the free sports betting tips for March 7th 2016

La Liga Betting Tip

With no English football to whet our appetite tonight, we again turn our attention to Spain, which has proved a decent hunting ground for us recently. Tonight, we’ve got Espanyol taking on Rayo Vallecano. The one interesting stat here is looking at Rayo Vallecano’s last four away fixtures. They’ve drawn 2-2 in all four of them, against Valencia, Deportivo La Coruna, Sporting Gijon and Real Betis, all sides around the same ability as Espanyol. As for Espanyol, they’ve got one win out of their last five at home, with two draws and two defeats, so completely inconsistent. Have a small dabble on 2-2, purely because Vallecano’s stats back that up at around 12/1, but the main play is Espanyol to draw with Rayo Vallecano as there’s very little between both sides in terms of form, league position and overall ability.

NBA Betting Tips:

A small bunch of games for us tonight, and the Spurs are in action against the Pacers, looking to show they’re the real title contenders, not the Warriors. So expect a big performance tonight from San Antonio to send a message out to the Warriors that this NBA Championship isn’t done and dusted, not by a long shot. And with Manu back, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a fun night for the Pacers. The Pacers aren’t going well at home right now, either. Add in that Tim Duncan and Danny Green should be well-rested, take Spurs -6.5 to send out a huge warning to all the teams in the NBA, but especially the Warriors.

Warriors +14.5 is the night’s other play. Yes, they lost to the Lakers, but that’s only going to ad more fuel to the fire. The Warriors are irresistible at home, Stephen Curry put 51 points on the Magic just under two weeks ago, and with the Magic coming into this after giving the Suns their first road victory in what seem like an eternity, it just makes sense that the Warriors are going to do a number on Orlando tonight. Curry is going to want to prove that the wheels haven’t fallen off, so look out for a big performance from the Warriors’ star man tonight.
