I’ve been having fun the last couple of weeks diving into the Scottish lower divisions for some betting tips.
Being from Scotland I grew up invested in all these leagues so I find I always pay attention to them – even more than some of the major leagues in Europe at times ha. And I can tell you who is leading Scottish Division 2 much faster than I can tell you who is bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference.
We’ll get back to tipping the MLS soon btw just want some games under each teams belt.
Let’s get to it:
Alloa vs Dunfermline Betting Tips:
Dunfermline are a motivated team at the moment as they chase a promotional playoff spot in the Scottish Championship.
They’re currently 4th – which is enough – but only by a point. They also have playd one more game than their challengers Inverness Caley and Morton so they can’t rest despite this good run of form boosting them up the tbale.
Alloa meanwhile are battling against relegation. The thing is it’s quite close at the bottom so they’re not in desperation territory yet if you get my drift? They’re in the playoff spot at the moment but Falkirk are only a point above them and Queen of the South are just 4 points away. So they probably aren’t feeling the pressure just yet.
I like a professional performance from a Dunfermline team that is putting defense first at the moment.

Partick Thistle vs Dundee Utd Betting Tips:
I think there’s small value on Dundee Utd here.
Their overall away record is actually very good with just 3 losses in 13 games. They’re battling for that automatic promotion and are just 5 points behind Ross County so every game is crucial.
They’re not exactly crushing teams at the moment. So many tight little wins but sometimes that’s what it takes.
Thistles run of form ended and they find themselves staring down relegation at the moment.
This is more of a 50/50 game in my opinion so we’ll take the value.

Queen of the South vs Inverness Caley Betting Tips:
Speaking of value this is one where I’ve got to back Caley to get their finger out of their arse and get going again.
They’ve lost three games in their last four. One of them was to lowly Thistle and then they lost to Dundee Utd and Dunfermline in key games.
This is a massive game for them to try and get back in the promotion race. Queen of the South are in a brutal run of form at the moment and just can’t score. Caley have a solid defence and this is ripe for the picking here.
