Last night Steph Curry had the biggest “I’m back” moment in the NBA since Michael Jordan came out of retirement. He came off the bench with the Warriors down 16-2 and led them to an overtime win. Shaun Livingston was ejected from the game which led to him playing many more minutes than anyone thought he would and he ended up carrying the team to the win with 40 points and an NBA record for points in overtime. An unbelievable performance and a solid reminder of why the Warriors are the best team in the league and why he is the MVP. The Warriors will look to close out the series on Wednesday night.

Tonight we get the other great playoff series of these playoffs as the Spurs host the Thunder in their 2-2 series. The Thunder just played at another level in their last game out and if that is the Kevin Durant that we are going to get, I’m not sure the Spurs can hang with them. Even with Kawhi Leonard, the best defender in the league, he still went to another level and carried his team. The Spurs can’t survive that play, but they will make adjustments and tonight should be a great game.

We also have a huge NHL playoffs game as the Penguins look to close out the Caps at home. The Capitals were the best team in the league all season, but now see themselves in a 3-2 deficit heading into tonight’s game. This is a big one.

NHL Betting Tips:

Washington’s 3-1 win the last time out was the best any team has looked in this series and the first game decided by more than one goal. I think that they ride that momentum to a win tonight. We said from the beginning that this series would go seven games and we haven’t seen anything yet to change that. The goal differential in this series is 0 and it will go down to the wire. Washington +120 sends it back home tonight.

MLB Betting Tips:

The Tampa Bay Rays over the past two seasons have been one of the best lefty hitting teams in baseball. Today they go against lefty Wade Miley who holds a 3.81 career FIP. He’s coming off two strong starts, but he is who he is. Drew Smyly starts for the Rays and he has been excellent this season. I love the Rays against lefty hitters and I’m on them tonight. Tampa Bay -126

One of the weirder signings this offseason was the Cardinals’ signing of Mike Leake. He didn’t look great last season and they gave him a big contract. Well, guess what? He doesn’t look great this season either. 0-3 with a 6.03 ERA, he just feels like a pitcher on the downturn. He’s on the road tonight in Anaheim and I’m all about the Angels. If he pitches to him, Mike Trout will take him yard and even if he doesn’t someone else will. The Angels -123 will still win this one.

NBA Betting Tips:

If you take the last twelve seconds of game two and give the Spurs a couple of the calls that they deserved this series is 3-1 and this is an elimination game. The Thunder have played very well these past few games, but the fact is that outside of game three the Spurs could’ve/should’ve won them all. With the fate of the series potentially on the line, I have to go with the team that I think should be up. Spurs -7
