Until the Womens World Cup comes in and the South American leagues get more games under their belt it’s going to be slim pickings at times when it comes to the daily soccer tips.
However like I’ve said before I do enjoy that at times – it’s fun to focus on a league I never really pay attention to. Research it, learn more about the current state of it etc – hell sometimes I end up starting a new game in Football Manager simply because I spent some time reading about a particular league.
For Tuesday, May 21st I’ll be heading to Africa to cover the Ligue 1 in Algeria.
They’re 28 games into the season. It’s quite tight at the top with USM Alger having lost their last couple of games.
It’s the top league in Algeria. Bottom 3 gets relegated to Ligue 2. The top 2 qualify for the CAF Champions League. Third place is in the Confederation Cup and 4th place is the Arab Club Champions Cup.
There are just two games left in the league season so it’s nice and tight.
AS Ain M’lila vs Paradou AC Betting Tips:
Interesting one here. Paradou AC are currently in third place but they’re on a bad run having lost their last two games – one of them to bottom club Mo Bejaia. Ouch.
Third place isnt guaranteed for them but this is not an easy game. AS Ain M’Lila can still be relegated. They’ve been on a solid run of form at the moment and most importantly they are a very tough side to beat at home. They’re unbeaten at home with 9 draws in 14 matches.
Seems like it could end up being a draw.

CA Bordj Bou Arreridj vs Olympique de Medea Betting Tips:
Sometimes the home/road split is enough for me to back a team to win, and that’s what is going on here.
First of all CA Bordj are looking good not to be relegated but they’re still not safe and clear. So the result is obviously important for them.
Olympique de Medea are in the relegation zone at the moment so a win is key.
CA Bordj are struggling to score at the moment with just 1 goal in their last 5 games. However they still perform extremely well at home and have beaten a lot of teams here lately. They also had that convincing victory over USM Bel Abbes just a couple of weeks ago.
Medea meanwhile seem to be able to win at home but lose away. Their away form has been dismal. And even though CA Bordj are struggling this is a team with one of the best defenses in the league. Medea meanwhile are on the lower half of that table.
I think it’s going to be hard for Medea to get anything from this game. A lot of it relies on CA Bordj getting the goals ticking but I believe they can do so.
