Welcome to the free sports betting tips for May 2nd, 2016.

I know what a lot of you will be going on about, and that’s the Raptors finally getting the job done, but I have to admit, that was the last thing on my mind yesterday. Not only did we have Leicester potentially winning the EPL title, but the Snooker World Championship Final got underway, too. Yes, I know so many of you are loving the NBA playoffs right now, but the start of May means only one thing to me, and that’s the World Championship Final from the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. So I was keeping up-to-date with Leicester’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, while watching Mark Selby race into a 6-0 lead over Ding Junhui, only to be pegged back to 6-2 by the end of the session. The evening session then got even more interesting, with Ding getting it back to 8-7 after a marathon frame which, I will be honest, started as I was getting a flight from Belfast, and ended well after I landed. But Selby regained his composure and ended the night (well after midnight) leading Ding 10-7. Amazing tactical snooker, and hopefully we’ll get more of the same this afternoon.

As well as the snooker and the continuing playoffs, we also have Chelsea vs Tottenham, yet another chance for Leicester City to win the EPL title. If Tottenham don’t win, it’s all over, and you can bet Chelsea are going to do everything in their power to stop them. So, with that in mind, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for May 2nd, 2016.

English Premiership Betting Tip

Another Monday night, and another Spurs game. If Leicester City were the kings of Monday night at the start of the season, Spurs are definitely the kings of Monday Night Football in the second half of the season. And what a huge game for them tonight against rivals Chelsea. Needless to say, even though Chelsea have had a horrific season by their usually lofty standards, they are going to be doing everything they can to help Leicester City win their first EPL title.

But can Chelsea do it? Well, if it was at White Hart Lane, I would say no, but this is at Stamford Bridge, and there’s something to be said about the atmosphere, with most of the ground being unofficial Leicester City supporters for the night. I think this is where the EPL title chase ends, though. Spurs looked tired in the second half against West Brom, and with so much pressure on their shoulders, and with Alli missing, I think Stamford Bridge marks the end of their season. How will it end? Well, Chelsea might win, but I think it’s a safer move just to go with Chelsea or the draw as it covers both eventualities, as Chelsea will be happy to end Spurs’ fans dreams with a draw, but a win would be that much sweeter. Needless to say, I think there’s going to be a lot of partying on the streets of Leicester tonight.

NBA Betting Tips

Cleveland -7.5 is our only play in the NBA tonight, as the Eastern conference Semi-Finals finally get underway. There’s not many teams that hold such a curse over the Hawks as of late than the Cavs. Cleveland are going to be well-rested coming into this, they have home court advantage, and last year’s sweep shows how dominant the Cavs are over Atlanta. Plus, they’re won seven on the bounce against the Hawks, so the psychological edge is there. Sure, the Hawks have been going well enough, but Cleveland are strong at home, and with a full-fut-, fully-rested team to take to the court, there is only one winner here, and Cleveland should do it in style.

NHL Betting Tips

Over 5 goals Washington @ Pittsburgh is the selection in tonight’s only NHL Playoff game. The Penguins’ D looked scarily good on Saturday night, but the question is whether they can repeat that freakish performance that stifled more or less an entire roster. I don’t think they can. But I also don’t think the Capitals’ D can do the same. Thursday’s 4-3 scoreline (after O/T) was more like what I would expect from these two in this series, as we know it’s going to be tight, and both are pressing to get the advantage where they can. Add in that both Maataa and Orpik could be out (and if they’re not, they certainly won’t be 100%), and this should be another open game with a few goals in the mix.
